Securing my data with OneDrive

5.0 last month New

Comments: OneDrive has been very useful for storing my files in the cloud without needing to save everything on a specific device or carry it around all the time. It lets me open and edit my files on any device with internet access.

Pros:

What I like about using OneDrive is its cloud storage, which saves a lot of space on my device. It also allows me to access my files regardless of the device I'm using. OneDrive integrates well with other tools I use for work, whether it's creating documents or presentations.

Cons:

What I don’t like about OneDrive is that it has limited storage and doesn’t allow me to use many GB in its free version.

One Drive is a great tool for the Windows OS

5.0 last month New

Comments: I use it every day. I sync my documents as I have two computers I use and smart devices. I have rarely had any problems personally. Some of my staff, who are not as "tech savvy", have had issues with the overall system.

Pros:

Syncing documents across devices is easy to use once set up. It can work with documents and saves synchronously. Some users love that OneDrive works across Windows and syncs with many areas of OS.

Cons:

Initial set-up can be tricky if you are not familiar with the platform. Microsoft is very pushy about getting users to sign in and use services. It can be not very pleasant at times.

A Powerful Storage Resource

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I have been storing my files with OneDrive for over 10 years and have never lost a file or folder. When I want to delete or download a file or folder it's easy to do so. Also it's easy to share files with others who I have on my shared network. I really like that I can easily upload and download files I use weekly to a OneDrive folder on my computer hardrive rather than storing them on OneDrive online.

Pros:

It's a secure means I depend upon to save all of my website, business and personal files.

Cons:

It doesn't always work the same throughout every browser. I have a problem getting into my saved folders at times when using Microsoft edge. Since I normally use Google Chrome, I don't see this as a problem for me.

Steve Rob Music - OneDrive Review

5.0 last month New

Comments: OneDrive is excellent, especially when we need to share a confidential file and can protect it with a password. We also appreciate the customization options for folders, allowing us to change folder colors, like making one purple or red, for easy organization. Additionally, we value the ability to adjust storage limits, choosing between options like 1 TB or 2 TB as needed.

Pros:

We’ve been using OneDrive in our organization and appreciate how it enables us to organize files more effectively. We also value its ability to limit access, allowing us to share specific folders exclusively with certain departments, such as Human Resources, for example.

Cons:

Two issues we have with OneDrive are, first, the slowdown we experience when syncing desktop files to OneDrive. For example, if we sync a large folder full of files, it noticeably impacts our computer's performance, despite our devices generally being quite powerful. It would improve our experience if the syncing process caused less interference with our computers' speed. Secondly, we frequently encounter problems with incomplete uploads, especially with folders containing subfolders, images, PDFs, and other files. Once the upload process finishes, we often see a notification stating that certain files weren't uploaded, which is frustrating. We then have to attempt re-uploading those files individually, which is both time-consuming and inconvenient. It would be helpful if OneDrive provided more detailed explanations about why certain files couldn’t be uploaded.

OneDrive- great for One Drive, terrible for more than one!

4.0 last month New

Comments: The overall experience is 4/5, there is no better alternative for me right now and Microsoft is trying to improve the product constantly- I just wish if they look for users suggestion more often. To avoid problems with multiple users I have to use 1 user account (windows) with 1 user for one drive.

Pros:

It works very well with Windows PC- almost smoothly. It works quite well with Android mobiles. Live updates on multiple devices (as cloud should work). Bulit-in desktop app that workes seamlessly like other folders (on windows)

Cons:

From time to time it has problem with synchronisation but it alwayes inform you about the reason of it. There is a certain maximum character limit for path+file folder name, which doesn't allow for deep structured folders. The cap is bigger for commercial use but still not enough to run a huge and deep folder structure. Unfortunately Microsoft did not worked out properly multi-user work- I have 3 accounts (2 businesses and 1 personal) and it does not recognize which account should oper certain file. Picture backup is terrible- I had to use another software for that.

OneDrive Review

5.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: The fact that my data is secure when kept in OneDrive also gives me peace of mind. Taking a lot of factors into account, I can state that this application is really dependable, easy to use, and keeps me working while also making my life easier and my data safer.

Pros:

OneDrive's cloud storage is something I enjoy using because it frees up a lot of space on my smartphone. Additionally, it enables me to access my files on any device. Whether I'm making documents or presentations for work, OneDrive works nicely with other programs.

Cons:

I've had no problems with OneDrive for the past three years, and I adore it. I think a lot of people have problems because they don't read the instructions, don't understand how it works, and just click "yes" to everything when installing it.

Useful but not easy to sync!

5.0 last month New

Comments: OneDrive is a good tool to sync everything in one place but it is not always intuitive. It also fails to sync to the desktop files often.

Pros:

It’s good for collaboration and syncs up well with Microsoft tools such as teams.

Cons:

I find it difficult to navigate without clear training. It’s not as easy as SharePoint.

OneDrive Review

4.0 2 weeks ago New

Comments: It has been alright, except the few breakdowns it has had over the past 2 years.

Pros:

What I like the most is the Quick Access in OneDrive. All the projects and all the most used shared documents or sites show up.

Cons:

When displaying the files there is way too much detail with the file. It is just too much there.

5.0 2 months ago New

Pros:

As a Microsoft user having OneDrive integrated with all my other softwares, makes it a lot easier to be sure all of my documents are secure in the cloud and spares space in my laptop.

OneDrive has come from behind in the cloud storage race

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: Storing files to the cloud with OneDrive and sharing and syncing data across devices has become simple and seamless across the devices I have it installed on.

Pros:

1TB of OneDrive storage is included with my Microsoft 365 supscription.

Cons:

It wasn't as good as Dropbox at first but it got better. It just took it some time to get better.

Secure and User Friendly

4.0 6 months ago

Pros:

OneDrive is very user friendly and easy to deploy.

Cons:

It is difficult to know when you are not signed in to OneDrive. We have a company setting that you are automatically logged in when you start your laptop; however, that grey cloud appears and you may lose your work.

Great cloud storage but lacks storage capacity

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: Overall my experience with OneDrive is great and I would definitely recommend for people with low storage needs, but if someone needs more storage capacities, Apple iCloud and Google Drive offers more options on storage capacities.

Pros:

OneDrive is a wonderful cloud storage option. Its security is strong and you can easily manage the permissions on your contents. Also it integrates very great with all Microsoft softwares and devices, even on Android, iOS and MacOS.

Cons:

OneDrive is limited to a maximum of 1TB storage capacity, therefore if you're a graphic designer or someone working with other graphic content like me, you'll find that capacity very low and will probably have to look for other cloud storage option like I did. Also, if like me you have to use linux on occasion you will find very anoying to be forced to go to OneDrive via the web browser because Microsoft still refuses to create a linux version of OneDrive Desktop.

One Drive review

5.0 3 months ago

Pros:

One Drive does a fantastic job keeping all of its apps in the same place. Easy to use double monitor and jump around on all the apps. Makes saving certain documents very easy and allows you to share them with ease as well.

Cons:

When first started researching and then using this product there were lots of concerns for its data vulnerability. Seems like the privacy could use an upgrade.

A discrete product

3.0 4 months ago

Comments: It is good but should be better due to some lack of expertise in using it

Pros:

The uploading capacity and the availability on several different browsers without any issues

Cons:

When you access to onedrive is not easy to understand where the file is and when you need to save out of it it is quite complicated because the laptop always address you there

Comprehensive Review of OneDrive's Features, Benefits, and Considerations

5.0 6 months ago

Comments: My overall experience with OneDrive has been positive. It offers seamless integration with Microsoft Office, robust security features, and convenient collaboration tools. However, storage limitations for free accounts can be a drawback.

Pros:

I liked OneDrive's seamless integration with Microsoft Office apps, robust file versioning, and flexible access controls that ensure secure collaboration

Cons:

One of the drawbacks I found with OneDrive is that the storage limits for free accounts can be restrictive, especially for users with large files or extensive data needs.

OneDrive is amazing!

5.0 3 months ago

Comments: I've had a great overall experience with OneDrive. It has made my personal life and work much easier as I no longer have to carry around flash drives. I can save files from programs like Microsoft Office directly to the OneDrive service, and it's so easy to find them when I need to use them again. I highly recommend using OneDrive – it will make your life much easier too!

Pros:

How easy it is to upload files to the cloud. You get plenty of space to keep all of your files.

Cons:

Sometimes it closes down and you have to reopen the program to get everything to sync again.

Using onedrive as a data storage tool and keeping backups

4.0 9 months ago

Comments: I have had great experience when using onedrive solely for the purposes of keeping backups of my data and making sure that the auto-sync is on at all times.

Pros:

The accessibility of OneDrive on different devices is great for keeping a common backup across all devices, including mobile and laptop. It is very competitively priced for the amount of storage it offers compared to similar products.

Cons:

Frequent crashes with the one drive sync on a laptop are a major issue. The mobile app is also pretty heavy taking up a lot of storage space and slowing down other apps as well.

OneDrive a good cloud bases application for Business

5.0 last year

Comments: My overall experience in OneDrive is good its gave me some additional features to send my files to others that can't be send thru mail. I can access my files anytime and anywhere since it is a cloud based applications. I can work remotely and continue the task assigned to me.

Pros:

what I like about OneDrive is intergration to other MS application like Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook. It has a plenty of amount features like File Storage, File Sharing with added security. You can share your file to others by giving them a link to access your shared file. You can also give permission on who do you want to share your file with password or date of expiration.

Cons:

since it is Microsoft this is not free you need to buy the license from them to use it, sometimes other organization does not support the onedrive that if you gave them the link they cant access it.

Shared File Masterpiece

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: Overall this program is very useful on my current work, it help us to work as a team and check updated files in one path, this help us keep on track on day to day operation.

Pros:

This is our company primary shared file program that are using. What I like most of this is the usefulness of sharing file within the team. In day to day operation our teams need to be updated on any progress trough sharing of file which we are using so we are able to operate effectively because of One Drive.

Cons:

Sometimes a bit risky you need to check carefully on your other teams if they saved the updated file or not, cause if their one drive is off and they accidentally save the file, not updated one will be show on all users, so you need to be careful.

Ease in Use and Security Features

5.0 11 months ago

Comments: My overall experience has been good, other than when I forget my password.

Pros:

I am able to access my files anywhere, because they are saved in the cloud.

Cons:

I am only able to save one folder at a time. I wish if all folders were updated or synched every time the save button was hit. It would be nice if the Authenticator feature could be used when password is forgotten to make it easier to sign in. Maybe it is, and I just don't have the feature turned on by IT.
