Oracle Primavera Cloud Review
Comments: I have utilised Primera for almost 26 years from P3 until Oracle Primavera Cloud.
Pros:
1. The most powerful tools for project scheduling 2. It integrates multi-programs and multi-projects 3. It stores historical data of detailed activities 4. Excellent for cash flow and resource analysis 5. It integrates all schedule levels from the top (monthly) to the lowest level (hourly)
Cons:
1. Many terms and input functions may confuse beginners. It requires training before use properly.
Satisfactory
Comments: I was able to use the P6 software on multi million dollar projects and it played a great role in improving the efficiency of the work and keeping track of critical deliverables
Pros:
I liked the P6 in particular as a Scheduling Software as it allows me to perform additional tasks which are unable on Microsoft Project. I like the part where you can bunch a group of activities to be performed by a particular resource using a unique identification code and it can be useful on big projects where a resource just needs to know his part in the overall schedule
Cons:
I was not happy with the software for particularly smaller projects and since there are licensing fees associated with the product it does not make sense to use it for smaller projects. Microsoft Project is a pretty decent scheduling software on its own to carry out projects and it also saves us the trouble of training people on the new software
Accurate Project tracking app
Comments: I call it the best Project control and scheduling app for construction projects.
Pros:
From P3 to recent version, I used this application for tracking construction projects. After setting the baseline, it is very easy to update the project, and print any report that someone may need. For example, in the company I used to work, as Project Manager consultant, I used this app to control Multi Millions dollars projects, as well as Cement Factories, Dairy Factories, even residential complex. I always use this app to start scheduling, and then for weekly and monthly reports. So easy to play around resourcing and leveling activities.
Cons:
Creating a baseline file is a little challenging, If you are new, you might need to redo most of your work several time.(Not as easy as MSP in correcting your files)

Oracle Primavera is a comprehensive solution for Project Management needs, including features like WBS, OBS, activities, resources management, Earned Value Management and good reporting capabilities.
Cons:
Primavera can be complex and not intuitive for non-experienced project managers. Several functions and features are not easy to find / implement.
Oracle Primavera Cloud - A smart solution

Pros:
Oracle Primavera Cloud is very user-friendly, has amazing management and scheduling tools which allows good coordination between the team and also save money and time.
Cons:
The customer support could be improved and get more languages available.

Feasibility Report of Oracle Primavera Cloud
Pros:
I like the interface of this software to use. Easy process to schedule the tasks associated with the activity and it can be easily integrated with MS Excel Software.
Cons:
The complexity to allocating the resources while making a schedule on which is quiet easy on MS Excel.
The best and only project management and planning
Comments: I have been using Oracle Primavera for more than three years and it is great software with many great features that can help project managers and planners schedule any project and also work with multiple projects at the same time.
Pros:
This is my daily use of software as a project manager, this software has every feature required for project scheduling and tasking. The most important feature of Oracle Primavera is that it works depending on databases so you can work on many projects at the same time. I like the way it creates the critical path of a schedule and give you all the important calculations that you need automatically based on any updates or changes on the schedule.
Cons:
This application is great and must be used by any project manager or planner but it is very expensive.
The Best Planing Management Software
Comments: although of the cost, Oracle Primavera Cloud is at the top of Project Management.
Pros:
Most Planning Engineers have a good experience with this software. and the cloud version reduces the effort of installation and troubleshooting that's was a big effort.
Cons:
The Price is very high, and when you need to upgrade to the cloud version the integration will be more hard than on-premise.
A must For Every Project Managers
Comments: I have used MS Project in my College days and we use to work on extracts of the Big Commercial and Private Project and it explained us the little and major differences between the MS Project and Primavera. Primavera is overall the best detailed software for Project Management Professionals out there.
Pros:
The main thing WBS is seperated from the activties. You can add sub-activities and even the minor expenses like travelling and training costs. You can put in the percentage of completion in the sub-activities. Since it is EPPM software you can work on multiple projects. It's user defined controls and access makes it more easier to set roles and responsibilities to each and every OBS and activities and only allows multiple users to work at the set EPS & WBS level as per pemissions allowed. I was once working on a Villa project and we had the option to set more than one relationship between two activities. You can also create resources as per composition based on the Schedule of Rates(SOR) from whichever region you are working from. It makes it more easier to assign for a particular project. One another big benefit is that you can create 'n' number of Baselines as compared to other project management softwares. You can add risk and issues as well. Overall I feel Primavera P6 EPPM is a detailed project management software and you can work it at any verticals and horizontals.
Cons:
What i don't like about this software is that it doesnt allow multiple entries on it's own based on the formulae set. Again you need to check out your project and schedule with correct date and time, well that is plus point definitely but in case you missed the proper date and time as per your working calender then it will affect the project at a minor level initially and major differences will be made if that remains ignored. Another drawback for it is that if you are working on a single project then it will require lot of detailing for WBS, OBS, EPS, Roles and responsibilities which can be unnecessary in some cases. You have to remember each and every detail wherever you are putting it.
Primavera is a life saver
Comments: Overall I really love the software and the problems it solves. I am able to export to an excel file to analyze which makes things a lot easier for me. Then I can re-upload the excel file and it will adopt any changes I have made in the spreadsheet.
Pros:
I love how easy is it to see linked attributes in the gantt chart. There is simple connecting and coloring that allows you to track exactly where you are on a program, project or task level. It is relatively easy to use. As long as you are familiar with Excel you should be able to use most of the basic features. The WBS structure is similar to other programs I've worked in and the ability to copy and past at different levels helps to speed up the setup of a project.
Cons:
There are a ton of functionality with the software but I have found it difficult to get any instruction or help when I get into some of the more complex features. Googling is about your best bet when you have a questions about something. There have also been some issue when you switch between versions. New versions aren't able to connect to the older version's server and therefore do not have access to the other schedules.
Oracle Primavera
Comments: I would say that it is less challenging to use primavera than Microsoft project.
Pros:
It is best project management software, planning, scheduling, resource managing, controlling can be done for any project . Eventhough it is a complex analysis and process, It is not much difficult to use. Some advance features like top-down scheduling, longest path critical activity definition , activity steps and etc are now available . VBA is not required to separate and material cost.
Cons:
In my experience, It would be slightly difficult to adopt for beginner.
Primavera
Comments: Very Good so far
Pros:
The professionalism of the software. the different aspects and tools .. the importance of arranging ideas and resources
Cons:
it breaks sometimes i dont know why . the import and export of files is a difficulity

Comments:
if you are searching for a great software for project management , don't hesitate using primavera
it's an effective software in term of time management ,task management and risk management
Pros:
effective and helpful time management and risk management plans it contain a samples for educational purposes well organized software helpful for all ages
Cons:
it's a great software ,very helpful and reliable suitable for students and project engineers and of course managers suitble for creating primary and final plan for any project even if it's small or big project or just study plan
Dependable Planning and Scheduling
Comments: Very reliable and convenient to use specially the interfacing between Prism G2 and this software. In just one click of a button data are transferred instantly and assigned to the proper linked data in Prism. Schedule and progress between two software coincides with each other making it more better for Management to analyze schedule and cost result and can deliver good decisions to a project using this software.
Pros:
User friendly scheduling and Planning tool, new cloud based data make it more easier to access remotely.
Cons:
None, all functions works well for us for the project and from the company.
Suitable for scheduling!
Comments: I have used this software on multiple projects and I can safely say that it is a very useful and user friendly software.
Pros:
The software to easy to use. The option of tracking the actual project performance against is the baseline is one of the best features of this software.
Cons:
Sometimes when you hit the execute button, it changes the dates which are not meant to be changed. It can be due to poor constraints defined by the user but it becomes a little irritating.
Primavera
Comments: Overall this is an awesome program to work with and it's super powerful for what we use it for and there are more options features that we have not use. But it is there if we ever require to use it.
Pros:
Great program with featured packed for everything that is required to schedule. We did also linked it up to REVIT so the schedule and the 3D model can work together and show the build up.
Cons:
A long learning curve but once you figure out the short cuts then this program is awesome.
Academic use
Comments: I have been satisfied overall
Pros:
- Easy to use - Includes resources, cost, and risk
Cons:
- Sometimes you would have to click on WBS and go back to Activities in order for it to allow you to add an activity (for add add activity not to be ghosted). Could be a glitch. - sometimes when adding WBS list, it does not show it in order you have listed it on the Activities
Project Management, for Professionals
Comments: For Project Management software, I truly believe that despite its learning curve, Primavera is the hands down winner. Comparatively to other project management software that is enterprise-wide (minus the free or cheap version for small teams), Primavera stands tall.
Pros:
I can't stress enough that the amount of features in Primavera makes scheduling, baselining, statusing for large and small scale projects so detailed. You can add copious amounts of details that can be relevant to both the PDT and the client.
Cons:
Primavera is honestly fairly hard to learn and takes even longer to master. The longer you learn and live in the system, the better you get. Training is definitely not enough to learn how to master the system.
Not for the Faint of Heart
Comments: Beautifully created to solve problems without making it overly complicated. I would say, there are far too many companies out there trying to be good at everything and making horrible products, but Oracle does a good job of investing in a product feature and actually making it perform well.
Pros:
If you are considering this product for a construction company, it is useful to handle complex projects with many data contacts and files. Very large companies can use this to their advantage because it has many features that can be set and streamlined nicely.
Cons:
The product is really expensive. I would say that if you are a smaller company, this isn't going to work for your price point. It also has a lot of complexity, so if you are going to just pay to get it and not use it to its full potential, it's not a good investment. To have an expert that specializes in training and using this product to it's full potential (give them a minimum of 6 months to dig in full time) will give you the best return on investment for implementing this product.
A One-Stop Shop in Project Management
Comments: As stated above, this tool is great as project management software. The time tracking capability was so easy to implement and met our companies needs, that we used it throughout.
Pros:
The software seems straight forward and easy to use. Our company used it across our whole organization for time tracking, as that was such a useful feature. There are many more components that can be used in various project collaboration, as well as customizations to the software that can be made through coding.
Cons:
As far as using it as a time entry tool, the interface does seem a little overdone, more like a glorified spreadsheet. I sometimes get the feeling "what's all this?" when I just want to enter time.
Robust Tool For Plannning
Pros:
Primavera is really robust and capable of helping in planning and project management, you can easily manage users and permissions and it's even able to integrate with a process engine.
Cons:
The customer support could be best, they don't always solve the service request you open in the support system.
