Reviews of R4J
Simple Requirement Management for JIRA
Comments: It is a good add-in that mixes very well with your JIRA experience and is very consistent with JIRA in all the ways. I would recommend anyone looking to manage requirements well in JIRA to consider this add-in.
Pros:
The simplistic interface of R4J Add-In makes it very easy to manage and track requirements within the JIRA. Most software projects manage requirements using JIRA, but most struggle with managing requirements and organizing them, R4J excels in this aspect.
Cons:
The provision to define multiple versions of requirements could be a good value add. As of now, we have to update the single requirement if the requirement updates. It makes it little difficult to track the old requirements. Yes, we can do that via the History tab but this would be a good option to add.

Hello Rahul, thanks for your fantastic review, we are pleased that R4J serves your needs. To support multiple versions I can recommend you our reuse process: Just create from the existing structure a copy to a new folder and link the source and target issues to know the relationship. Then you can track both versions of your requirements. Best Regards, Bernhard

Cons:
Export template error messages could be improved.

Now we have our Jira data structured!
Pros:
We were looking for a tool to organize our customer requirements and development tasks in a structured hierarchy. With R4J we found an easy and cost-efficient solution. The revision history and the baselining capability help us to keep track of our change history. The multi-level coverage provides us an overview of all depending elements. Quick way to share my views with my project team.
Cons:
Minor small features missing, but this doesn´t matter.

R4J for medical devices
Comments:
CogniMed provides technical development services in regulated industries such as medical technology and aviation. We develop hardware, software and complete products for customers. Our focus is on perfectly documented development services for this demanding environment.
We have been using R4J for many years and projects by now. It is is perfect for our needs. Our customers love it, too and some have acquired the tools themselves after learning how to work with it at our
company.“
Pros:
I love the easy child access here, along with R4Js capability to handle any amount of parent-child hierarchies you might desire to trace (and document coverage of) your requirement. Take T4J in addition and this capability extends to verification specifications and even verification reports. 👍 I also appreciate the flexible export options to word documents with an extensible configuration language and word templates.
Cons:
That R4J and T4J are not available as cloud products (yet?)

Pros:
Very great integration with JIRA server. Very fast learning curve.
Cons:
The feature R4J improve over the basic JIRA server does not seems to much but they're for sure the essential one. I hope R4J will continue to improve the product.
