Awesome CTMS solution

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Overall, a very efficient CTMS software to use, ensures data privacy and has minimum breakdowns. It is a bit expensive and therefore I think it should be used by a mid-big pharma business.

Pros:

A very reliable CTMS system, the training offered by medidata before you get full access to the system covers almost everything you need to know whether you are the Principal Investigator or the CRA. It can also be incorporated into an independent portal where you can bypass constant credential requirement by storing the original credentials.

Cons:

I think the only issue that annoys me when it comes to Medidata is the use of different login credentials as opposed to company credentials. For other CTMS systems, I can log into the company network and not require different credentials for signing in. It saves time, medidata takes a little bit of my time every other day as I keep logging in over and over again. A bit costly for small companies as the starting price is about 1000$/month with no free version or trial

A Useful Source Capture Resource

5.0 4 weeks ago New

Pros:

Extremely user friendly. Makes inputting source data simple.

Cons:

It is easy for some information to get lost if it is not saved appropriately or if there is another user working in the same page.

Prettier than others but not powerful enough.

3.0 6 months ago

Pros:

It's cleaner looking than othe EDCs and in general works well.

Cons:

It's crazy that in 2024 we can't add info in bulk! They show the option of adding multiple lines to AEs but if you use it a fatal error shows up. Their solution was to "please add line by line" instead of working on this error.

iMedidata Rave Review

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall, it is an industry standard software that has multiple great capabilities, and is a sufficient way to enter patient information.

Pros:

I like that Medidata is similar for different trials, and makes it much more user friendly when having to navigate between different trials from different sponsors. Fairly straight forward when it comes to data entry and management.

Cons:

I don't like that some of the user interface is pretty out of date. Some of the query notifications can also be frustrating, but I believe it is more in data management, not the software itself.

Alternatives Considered:

Medidata

4.0 last year

Pros:

It eases the CRF designing with it's architect. Also, it makes sure that the used get proper training before the full access of the system, which covers almost everything which they need to know based on the person's role in the study.

Cons:

Sometimes i faced system performance issues. A little high in price range, compared with other EDC.

Lots of robust features, may be overkill for smaller sponsors or studies

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: I have used this software on several different studies and generally haven't had any trouble using it. However, there are always some sections that get set up differently by every sponsor and you need a bit of an FAQ to understand how they want it to be completed.

Pros:

This is a great CTMS with a ton of features that link well together. This is very specifically built for clinical research and it has a lot of features that would only apply here.

Cons:

It can be a little intimidating to get started because there are so many features and it has a bit of a language of its own. For a smaller sponsor or a small study, this might be more complicated than it's worth.

Using Medidata in College Medical Office/Medical Billing and Coding Program/Courses

5.0 4 years ago

Comments: Data entry and integrity have not failed us, not one time, in over three years of using this platform.

Pros:

It's fast, efficient, catches everything my students can throw at it, and it can still give them the responses or results they need on tracking the information they inputted into this platform. Has it's own file management section of the platform we use to store our student's information until the next weeks in-class logging patients, all necessary information on each patient, Insurance information, work information, family history, and on and on and on.

Cons:

It's not the primary part of the software the students see or use so they really don't know that Medidata is what keeps their medical office work secure and available.

Unfinished higschool science project

2.0 7 years ago

Pros:

Architect builder allows for easy database specification and build. No other pros exist no matter how much I think about it.

Cons:

No robust reporting tool . GUI looks like broken software project made by higschooler. Ease of use for site coordinators pales in comparison to other established systems. Every feature saps the limited resources and makes Rave come to a crawl. Terrible system for end user at the site leads to too many errors and too much money spend correcting them. Nearly absent helpdesk support.

Medidata

5.0 6 years ago

Comments: This system has made data entry smooth compared to other systems. The home page lists clearly the status of each subject.

Pros:

Easy to view icons. Corrections that are needed are clear. Data entry seems to go quickly.

Cons:

I have not had any issues so far. Most have only been with the sponsor’s locked pages.

Medidata Review

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: After using other systems, I've realized medidata does offer the best training for new users.

Pros:

I like that Medidata has several services and products that it offers. It has a secure portal that allows me to confidentially put in results for clinical trials. Medidata has offered multiple online training courses that are very beneficial. As far as EDC systems, it is currently my favorite one to use.

Cons:

I feel as though Medidata could be more user friendly. Some things on imedidata/RAVE can be very time consuming. Getting help from the help center usually isn't immediate. Even with these complaints, I still recommend the software.

Medidata review

4.0 6 years ago

Comments: I have been using Medidata for 1 year with no issues. User-friendly interface and good customer service.

Pros:

I use Medidata EDC for two of the clinical trials I am involved in. It is not difficult to learn and use, and the training is fairly quick. The interface is user-friendly and customer service is excellent.

Cons:

Requires training, like all EDC software.

Very cumbersome, but includes many data points that are valuable.

4.0 6 years ago

Pros:

Love the elements it requires our staff to complete for each entry. Very friendly to the administration

Cons:

Due to the length of data required for staff to enter, it becomes very burdensome and often gets one of two things, our staff dont enter it or they will enter "0000" in sections to complete it.
