About SpamTitan
SpamTitan is a cloud based Anti Spam email filter. It is an easy to use, effective, multi-award winning Anti-Spam, malware blocking and
Integration was easy, post sales team ensured all the steps were taken correctly and it is highly effective.
It's lacking intuitiveness of other competitors. Regularly have to phone because a user will start receiving 'unsolicited bulk spam' and their emails get blocked sending out.

SpamTitan - great people, easy to use
Comments: Great customer service, excellent sales and onboarding!
Pros:
I love that it is effective in catching spam, and that it is rarely wrong!
Cons:
I dislike that individual users can't block an address and have it block that address for everyone easily.
Decent features for the price could do with some more features. Would still recommend.
Comments: Spam is removed.
Pros:
Cloud based software so nothing to install on site. The dashboard allows you to see what emails have been quarantined, allows white listing of domains. Decent set of basic features. Price point reflects what you get.
Cons:
The following lets it down: 1. The quarantine reports to the users are once a day, i get a lot of emails from staff saying they haven't received a email from a client and i have to log in to check, a quarantine email once a hour would be much better. 2. Some email which don't even match basic standards get block but not reported, took us a while to realise this as we had a ioT device misconfigured but had no idea Spam Titan was blocking it. 3. It can fail to deliver to the endpoint mail server, but doesn't report whether the email was successfully delivered or not just that it passed or didn't pass the spam listing, you have to go into the actual email and look at the headers. 4. Would be nice if there was a encrypted SMTP relay too that could scan email going out. Haven't had a compromised laptop or email account but could see how this would help.

Hi Conor, Thanks for your kind review and your very helpful feedback on SpamTitan. It has been fed back into the product team. Their feedback is as follows: 1.This is true that SpamTitan sends one report per day, however all end users can request on-demand reports as many times per day as they wish, simply by clicking the On Demand Link at the bottom of the report. 2. All mail that connect to SpamTitan will be reported on in the Reporting > History tab. Along with all headers. 3. If a mail is passed to the mail server this will be shown on the Reporting > History tab. Along with the SMTP response the Mail Server provided. 4.SpamTitan will filter all outbound mail and can have TLS enabled for encrypted traffic. We're constantly developing and trying to improve SpamTitan Conor, thanks again for the great feedback Kind regards, Dryden Dryden Geary, Marketing Director, TitanHQ
Overall Disappointing. Blocks emails I need and lets through obvious phishing emails.
Comments: Not very impressed with Spam titan. there are many features that I would like to see improvement on. overall disappointing.
Pros:
We needed spam titan to block spam from our system as we have had Ransome wear attacks in the past. Spam titan helps us to filter out any suspicious emails before they become a problem
Cons:
Spam Titan is almost too responsive to threats to the point I miss emails because they are flagged as a threatI'm sure spam titan is monitoring in real-time but the fact it doesn't send you an email to let you know more than once per day that emails are in your quarantine is frustrating.
Decent spam filter, but very dated interface and management system.
Comments: It's been a good tool for us as an MSP however it's dated and on the way to irrelevance since they have not made any improvements over the years.
Pros:
It works pretty good for catching most spam. I also like the global and per user white/black-lists.
Cons:
The interface is woefully outdated and it's ability to catch spam has not advanced much. Native spam filtering in O365 is just about on par now. Google's spam filters are superior. I don't like that we can't brand the spam filter without a large commitment.
Avoid their Cloud Offering
Comments: My biggest regret with using SpamTitan was to buy in to a 3-year deal to avail of a discount. That is only my own fault as they do not offer a refund if you decide to cancel the service. I used their cloud based spam-filter service so cannot comment on their non-cloud offerings. As a small MSP you will want to avoid this product which lacks end-user accessibility beyond very basic control via hyperlinks. You will find yourself micro-managing end-user accounts endlessly. Avoid their outbound mail-relay completely – huge headaches will ensue. And their support can also leave you dangling for days. I ultimately took the hit and moved to DuoCircle half way through the three-year period; footing the bill myself to ensure my clients had a more reliable email delivery experience. It's not just about identifying spam, when you rely on a pipeline for mail-delivery, one weak link in the chain can bring your mail-flow to its knees. Choose wisely.
Pros:
Good at positively identifying spam mail
Cons:
The cloud-based version is not good for an MSP. Support is mediocre

As the marketing director of TitanHQ I am deeply disappointed that you have had a negative experience with our business. We pride ourselves on the standard of our pre and post sales support and in your case it seems that we didn't meet our own high standards. For that I apologise. We will reach out directly to you to achieve a mutually amenable resolution. Kind regards, Dryden Geary, Marketing Director, TitanHQ
Overall works as promised
Comments: filters inbound/outbound email
Pros:
Technical support responds quickly to issues. Setup and functionality work well for providing email filtering
Cons:
The time to resolve IP blacklists need to be improved. User interface for searching through the quarantine or email logs need to be improved.

The ability to review and release / allow emails that were banned or quarantines
Cons:
I was not impressed with searching Quarantine or email histories
SpamTitan Review
Pros:
What I liked most was the ease of use and ability to control spam.
Cons:
The lack of communication with the company's support team.

Thanks for your review. Lack of communication from our support team is most certainly not the feedback we usually get from our customers. Great post and pre support is a principle we strive for. Can you contact me directly please Dryden [email protected]
SpamTitan Review
Pros:
Cluster works good, Software updates are easy.
Cons:
Support, API doenst work, found a few Bugs which are not yet resolved after month.Mostly license reporting gives you wrong data which is not solved for month so we are loosing money with the product.
Spam Detection
Comments: Overall, it does what it says and works.
Pros:
Does what it states "on the box" Spam detection, quarantine and white & blacklisting
Cons:
Interface is from the 90's. Could be spruced up a lot.
We've moved on, this was too expensive for the service provided.
Comments: It served it's purpose but we've found a better solution. Also, they still consider me a "customer" according to emails I get daily.
Pros:
The daily emails with the "approve/deny" option were useful, but ugly.
Cons:
The cost! Especially since Google anti-spam does the same or better for a price built in to the monthly cost.
A Linux VM with a decent SPAM filter
Comments: Experience selecting SPAM filtering software.
Pros:
Easy to install and setup. SPAM Titan seemed to catch a lot of SPAM. It had a lot of sought-after features.
Cons:
The purchase process was a pain because they were in the UK and my credit card company flagged it as suspicious activity. The user interface, while functional, seemed confusing for some admin tasks. There were several sub-menus that were ambiguous in function compared to others with similar names. There was no capability to flag SPAM from Outlook and have that designation retained for the next such message. Customer support was okay, but not outstanding.
Lacking features
Comments: It is nice to stop the spam, see what is coming in to our email, and reduce our inbox. We have seen a huge reduction in the email that is getting through to our inbox since we switched over, but we are also getting more false-positives than we were before as well.
Pros:
I like that this is a cloud-based solution, so that I don't have to worry about hosting and space.
Cons:
The biggest problem is that the cloud-based version is majorly lacking in numerous items that are in the hosted version. You can't block attachments only and still get the email.
It looks like a good product but sales and support were slow to respond
Comments: None unfortunately. I wish I could recommend the software but without being able to give it a proper trial, I'm unable to.
Pros:
The interface is pretty straight forward, and the website was easy to get most of the information that I needed. A better listing of features would have been more helpful.
Cons:
The system seemed to have been lacking certain features that I was looking for. When contacting sales about certain features, I would get no response or incorrect information. I tried to contact support to get these questions answered, but was told I had to go through sales because I was not yet a customer, but a trial user. By the time sales finally got back to me, I had demoed and purchased another product. I wish they would have been there from the beginning as I don't feel I was able to give the product a fair evaluation.
SpamTitan
Comments: Initial setup on client sites was allowing significant amount of spam through to inbox - much of it very obvious spam. Spam reporting mechanism requires additional Outlook plug-in installation on every user station - not very practical. This solution required too much hands-on.
Pros:
Spam reports are clear and concise. Mgmt interface is fairly well designed. Client setup is fairly straight forward.
Cons:
More expensive, less effective and user friendly (based on my clients' feedback) than the solution I used previously.
SpamTitan Review
Pros:
We use to use Solar Winds. We had a lot of issues when they migrated clients to their new platform in January 2018. This forced us to look for a new solution. Spam Titan was around the same cost and seemed like a good choice.
Cons:
We have many items flagged as spam that are not and lots of CEO whaling emails make it through. The website is very slow to respond as well.
Good but not great
Comments: To get the best from Spamtitan cloud, speak with your users, get a whitelist for known good senders get this in place. Remember as stated you can catch up to 99.97% but that 0.3% that does get past is more likely destined for the chairman rather than a junior member of staff and the senior member of staff probably had some input on the spend.
Pros:
The cloud version is super easy to get up and running. Reporting on the spam traffic is simple to use.
Cons:
Only one spam report per day Malware infected emails have got past the antivirus filtering component many times. Not great in picking up on short impersonation emails.
Good Spam Filter when we had onsite hosted Exchange
Comments: Stopped the majority of SPAM with few false positives.
Pros:
Good Customer Support - were readily available and spent the necessary time to fix or explain what was happening. Fast processing of emails - most processing done in under 1 minute.
Cons:
The online version didn't have very many options for controlling SPAM. Reporting could have used more time frames as well such as every x hours or every x days.
Good and Simple for the money/
Comments: I am happy for what we are paying for. Would like to have more features but for the price it does a very good job.
Pros:
Simple, easy on my end user. Little to none in terms of training. Gets most of the spam and with a simple adjustment you can catch more or less with it.
Cons:
VERY simple. Not much in terms of customizability. Some very simple executive impersonation attacks have still come through.
Spam Titan review
Pros:
The sale and support teams are great reporting is almost good
Cons:
user level must learn more about it, at the first it takes time to train them how to deliver, how to white-list senders or domains ...
Only information request
Pros:
Looks nice and neat, user interface is user friendly.
Cons:
The support and sales people are a bit too pushy. A discount offer was not as different from the original offer. There are other solutions I would recommend instead.
The pre sale team is very helpful with setup and initial trial.
Pros:
will block a sizable spam and value for money compare to other providers on the market. Excellent quarantine report formate
Cons:
a lot phishing passing through, the supports is not good; you ask them 1 question they'll ask you 2 before something happen. A bit inconsistency with the way spam rating engine. A buggy quarantine report due to fail adjust different time zone.
IT Manager
Pros:
Great Spam Protection straight out of the box
Cons:
No real cons to post as of this moment.
satisfied
Pros:
The solution is easy to use. its a very affordable solution to provide email security for your organisaton
Cons:
The interface is a little slow, especially if you want to review messages back over a 30 day period or longer.

Fighting Spam
Pros:
Has a plug in for Outlook 2016 to quickly mark spam/not spam
Cons:
Outlook plugin unfortunately loses its log in details for Spam HQ every time Outlook gets updated! Latest update causes problems with IE11
