A need for some. For the rest, expensive.

Pros:

Yext is a comprehensive solution that allows for ease of updating multiple platforms. This is helpful for changing an address after a move, a branding change to name or spelling, and even consistency across online profiles for improved SEO rankings. We have used this solution for improving rankings where profiles were not consistently listed with the same name and address. This solution is almost a necessity for those who do not have login access to all of their online accounts. If you plan to manage your reviews online, this solution offers user-friendly reporting as well. User engagement is key for reputation management. This is the most comprehensive solution available.

Cons:

Yext is expensive for something you can have intern do over time. If you want to edit profiles, someone can do this one by one by hand. So the cost of this solution can be intimidating. And soliciting reviews and managing can be as simple and sending requests. But this automates the process. Custom support has not been my favorite as well.

You can manually update information on each site by adding your business information to each individual publisher. Auto renewal and customer service

Comments: Poor customer service, especially during the Covid period.

Pros:

Listing management was very good. Review monitoring also very good. However, their customer service is poor.

Cons:

I had been a customer since 2018 with all my customers using the service. I was automatically renewed in late February. I reached out to my rep to discuss and he never responded. I just concluded a three month communication with Yext's ticket system and they will not cancel my auto renewal as they claim i had inform them 30 days before renewal. Had a rep contacted me i would have. These are touch times. All my agency's clients are closed. I had cancelled each individual client account with Yext. I offered to pay one month as a compromise but they will not accept. I just told them to terminate my account completely and will never work with them again. I assume i will see them in court. What a poor way to treat a customer. There are plenty of other services out there.

Gets the job done fast but cookie cutter

Comments: I would describe my overall experience with Yext as fair,

Pros:

It builds citations fast and lots of them. It takes the guess work out of citation building if you are newer to SEO.

Cons:

What I liked least about Yext was its cookie cutter set up and the limits that came with that. After a couple of weeks it got pretty frustrating.

Do not recommend Yext, no way

Comments: I recommend staying away, better tools out their to consider first.

Pros:

The idea behind Yext is solid. It's goal is to help companies manage their listings across search engines and online directories

Cons:

1. Expensive 2. For the price, I just don't see the value, the vast majority of the search engines and directories they list are useless, especially for small businesses. 3. I don't believe their service can really provide a SEO boost. There are too many factors to consider for SEO these days and using Yext for SEO

All in one

Comments: We have used this twice now to update our business listings. Its been a simple transaction. It is a bit expensive though.

Pros:

I like that it updates all in one area.

Cons:

A little pricey. I still like the program but it is a little on the expensive side.

Good to See Reviews, but needs to add more sites

Pros:

I like how you can use this one tool to update most of your review site listings to stay consistent, and get updates when you have new reviews on those sites.

Cons:

They need to add more sites here for B2B companies (like Capterra!) to be able to get notifications on those review sites as well.
