Makes running my dog training business easy

5.0 last year

Comments: Great Customer Service and best option for dog trainers

Pros:

Love the dog profiles, the ease of adding notes, scheduling, and adding dog birthdays!

Cons:

Can't integrate with square invoicing, can't integrate course with thrivecart and my evergreen funnel so still am paying for a separate program for that.

Busy Paws has been an absolute game-changer for us!

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: We honestly couldn’t be happier with Busy Paws. They’ve transformed the way we manage things, and we’re so thankful for their excellent service and support!

Pros:

First, their customer service is unmatched. Even at my most daft, the Busy Paws team is always there to help. I appreciate their willingness to schedule meetings to troubleshoot any issues, and their staff is incredibly kind and patient. Our entire team is so grateful for [sensitive content hidden]— they’ve made everything so much smoother for us! Their plans are not only affordable but also incredibly robust. Busy Paws covers all of our needs — from scheduling and vaccines to contracts and so much more — and the value for the price is unbeatable. Another standout feature is the ease of use. The interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, and if you do get stuck, helpful articles and videos guide you through. It’s made our whole process so much more efficient. Busy Paws is also consistent — we’ve never experienced outages or communication issues. And they genuinely care. We’ve had a few minor emergencies, and they’ve been right there with advice and support, walking us through our mistakes to ensure our clients are impacted as little as possible.

Cons:

We just want an app. The interface it too small on our phones in browser. We hear there may be an app coming!

Excellent all in one software for Pet Establishments running one or more service (Pet Store, dog daycare, boarding, grooming, training etc)

5.0 last week New

Comments: We love it and [sensitive content hidden] was tremendous not only on-boarding us which made switching to a new application more welcoming and less stressful but also so VERY quick to respond with any questions we had/have!!

Pros:

Ease of setup/admin and allows for great customer interaction along with GREAT customer support with expedited response which is so key!

Cons:

Nothing really just suggestions on potential improvement with the customer portal by putting the credits at the top makes it easier for customers to find especially when on mobile. A mobile app option but I believe this is in development ;)

What sets BusyPaws apart is the 2-way calendar sync

4.0 4 months ago

Comments: My main reason for choosing BusyPaws for my business is that I don't have a facility or staff to manage. Sometimes, I travel to clients' homes for training, and sometimes, they board in their homes with me. This software makes it easy for small home-based businesses like mine to have options for running a big facility with inventory.

Pros:

I love how easy the platform is for both my clients and me. I've got great feedback for booking being so easy. The BEST feature BusyPaws has that most others don't is 2-way Google calendar sync; believe me, I checked for this on multiple other pet software. It's a one-woman show around here, so if I schedule a doctor's appointment for my daughter, it saves me so much time that it will automatically block out that time from my schedule for clients to choose from. It's equally as fast to put new appointments in my calendar so I can see everything from the calendar app I was already using on my phone.

Cons:

There is no dynamic pricing option for automatically adding a discount if someone is booking more than one dog. The add-on feature is a little tricky. Add-ons automatically get applied once per pet to the booking, so if you are trying to add something that a client might want more than one of, like this, it isn't possible. Another challenge with add-ons is if a client is booking two dogs for boarding but only wants one dog's nail trimmed, and it will automatically add it to both dogs. There is no way to choose quantity or dog for add-ons.

Comments: I love it! Customer Service is fast and helpful, the articles and help pages are helpful and it's really easy to use.

Pros:

I love that it has everything I need to run my business and that they are always adding to it.

Cons:

I wish it were easier to edit the report cards like it used to be instead of recreating the whole report card.

We love BusyPaws!

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Overall it's a great app with great ease of use. Its interface is easy to understand and move around. Most of all, the customer service is superb. Any time I've had an issue, someone has been available to help and get things resolved. I tried a couple of other industry apps first and settled with busypaws. We have been using it in our daycare, training, boarding facility for a couple of years now.

Pros:

Its very easy to create different services and schedules and decide what to allow clients to see on their end. It has a lot of functionality now with the icons and the store. It's easy for clients to use . Customer service is wonderful.

Cons:

My customers and I get a little confused sometimes with package credits - available, used, scheduled etc.. as they are colored and worded differently on the client end.

Busypaws Is A Trainers Best Friend

5.0 4 months ago

Comments: I’ve been a client for almost five years and the fact that I haven’t changed providers is proof that it works well for me.

Pros:

Busypaws has everything I need for my business. Internal forms, easy online booking and reminders for my clients

Cons:

No option to ask for reviews or to limit how many bookings can be entered daily unless you change the hours manually.

Best Software Out There For All Pet Services

5.0 2 months ago New

Comments: Excellent software, and definitely the best one I have found from my research. It offers everything needed under one umbrella and I’m glad I have chosen it.

Pros:

Easy to use with excellent tutorials and help available when needed. It was very easy to add the code to my website as well which made me feel more competent with computers than I actually am!

Cons:

It would be helpful if, when adding input fields to the intake forms, there was the ability to edit the order of the input fields. For example; I had created a long list of questions in the Pet and Customer fields and was in the process of adding them to an intake form when I realised that I needed to change the order of some of the questions but I couldn’t drag and drop the fields so had to undo a load of the drop-downs and sort of start again. I know it would have been easier to organise this offline beforehand but I was still learning the software and it was just a little niggle. Another handy option to have in the ‘field type’ could be a table that can have text added. In my paper questionnaire I have tables asking, for example, how a dog reacts to other dogs in various situations. The first column shows the situations (eg: in the house, in the garden, on the lead, Off-lead, etc…) and then I have 8 further columns labelled things like No Issues, Avoids, Barks/ Growls, Mouths/ Bites, etc… so then I can tick whichever cell(s) apply and doesn’t take up much space. For my BusyPaws intake form, I had to create multiple answers under the Multiple Option to include all the options I need which leaves the question looking very long on the questionnaire - something which I didn’t want to look off-putting to clients.

The monthly subscription made it possible for me to switch to BusyPaws!

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: I am very happy with my investment in BusyPaws. Once you get past loading and setting up all your packages and lessons, this software pays for itself by saving you so much time and money on multiple software subscriptions. Unlike other competitors that charge a lot more, BusyPaws' monthly subscription and affordable rates made it possible for my small training business to switch. I highly recommend BusyPaws for any small business looking to grow!

Pros:

What I appreciated the most about BusyPaws is that their customer service is always willing to jump in when the chatbot is having problems answering your questions! I also love that they provide a very affordable monthly subscription.

Cons:

The process of organizing my training sessions and packages. Although BusyPaws software is primarily intended for kennels and groomers, as a trainer, it took me some time to figure out how to utilize it for my business. However, the customer service has been incredibly helpful in assisting with troubleshooting!

Organization for Busy Dog Trainer

4.0 8 months ago

Comments: Very good! Their customer service has always been amazing and they have spent a lot of time with me fixing things or helping me understand how to set up services.

Pros:

I like that I can coordinate and schedule open-enrollment classes. This is especially important for my puppy classes so that people can sign up as soon as their puppy's are ready. BusyPaws keeps all my client emails and pet information in one secure place so I have been able to eliminate a lot of paperwork! I'm also very happy that BusyPaws how has the ability to sell products (and their different tax rates) this is great because it eliminated my need for a different invoicing software and I can now keep everything in BusyPaws and easily add on products such as treats, or toys for my students.

Cons:

Sometimes there is a bit of a learning curve to new things and also periodically I will notice that attachments are not sending properly to my training students.

Is Busy Paws the GOAT of training software? You decide -- I already have. YES!

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: My experience was and continues to be a good one. I am happy I found them early for my business and also early in their start as I have been a proud Busy Paws member since they were small, unique and wonderful. (Did I mention patient??) They remain wonderful, kind and patient as they grow.

Pros:

the depth of the product and the thoughtful updates, and I have to stress the strength of their support for even the most repetitive and mundane questions.

Cons:

The depth of the product..Ha ha. Meaning only that I love the depth and had to concentrate to learn how to navigate it, mostly because I wasn't as tech savvy as I imagined I was (key [sensitive content hidden] and then me doing a cartwheel with an awesome landing...). Most people who helped me got it quickly as I know you will! It's me, not you.

Excellent Product

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: Outstanding. It is the best solution out there and I spent years researching and had my own custom code prior to using Busy Paws.

Pros:

Well thought out and created and managed by people who are dog trainers.

Cons:

There are some functions that I would like to have but they are not available. I would like to have more control over who has access to what and also booking ideally would default to the person who is logged in but I am VERY happy overall!

Initial Thoughts on Busy Paws Set Up & Purchase

5.0 9 months ago

Comments: I have had a great experience so far. The 30 day free trial has been so valuable to take my time ensuring the software will work for my business, and I have gotten prompt responses from BusyPaws whenever I had a question or status update. We are wading through the set up and I'm so excited to launch for our customers!

Pros:

I had trialled a couple management softwares and knew more or less exactly what I wanted. Busy Paws let me right into their software as a free trial to start exploring and playing around! This was a huge selling point for me as I was able to go through the features and functions at my own pace in between appointments and I didn't have to try to ask everything in a 30 minute zoom call demo.

Cons:

I have read complaints from others about the difficulty with learning the software and getting set up. My team member and I are decently tech savvy and have found that the software is detailed and complex, but that it is reasonably straightforward to figure things out on our own between the helpful tutorials that are pinned to each page. It certainly is not as simple and user friendly as other software I viewed, but those did not do what I wanted them to and were not nearly customizable enough! I feel comfortable that if any bumps come up I will get a quick response by e-mail from BusyPaws.

Versitile system

4.0 5 months ago

Comments: Overall I'm happy with Busypaws. It has a lot of great things. I"d rather have one system than cobble together multiple solitions to solve for administrative needs.

Pros:

I love that I have a centralized system to manage all my administrative needs. Helps keep my schedule and clients organized.

Cons:

There are some features that could be expanded upon such as the editor for courses and emails. There is some customization but not for website integrations so you do have to live with their button colors.

Definitely recommend even for smaller businesses like ours

5.0 last year

Comments: Overall the customization is great- just a bit complicated but the fact that someone is always ready to jump in to help us or that there are write ups and video tutorials on pretty much every topic it’s usually just a (pretty big) learning curve and when we’re struggling things always get resolved.

Pros:

Online client booking has changed everything for us and with the multiple options available can be quite customized for whatever you need. The customer service is incredible and no matter how silly we think our questions are they never make us feel silly for having asked. This is a big deal because we are all comfortable asking for help whereas other software in the past has not felt quite so inviting in this regard.

Cons:

Due to all of the options it’s also a little complicated and doesn’t always feel “user friendly” HOWEVER they are ALWAYS quick to jump in via zoom or email or chat to help us and their chat AI is generally super accurate and works well when humans are offline so it’s very possible to figure things out on your own as they have tutorial videos AND write ups on almost everything you could think of.Also the fact that we have to use Stripe is annoying. We’ve used Square for almost a decade and having to switch to something else has increased our bookkeeping and it’s very frustrating to pull up reports as Square is so much more easy and has so many more easy to find reports. Stripe is a daily pain in the butt for us and I wish we could swap that option for what we are familiar with and is more aligned with what we need.

Great System for Dog Trainers

4.0 last year

Comments: So far it’s been fantastic! I my took me 4 days, a few hours each day, to setup (I didn’t do the easy info transfer, just started fork the ground up to learn the system). It’s very easy to setup, with some small exceptions BUT busypaws also does great with explaining/having pages to explain how to create everything. I love it so much that I made the jump from PocketSuite! I looked and demo-ed other systems. BusyPaws is by far the most bang for my buck.

Pros:

Ease of set up; lead tracking and ease of transitioning to official client status; ability to create video courses!!!! (Honestly my favorite part); digital contracts; ability to create my own report card template; SOOO many more great features!

Cons:

It has no app. Would strongly prefer an app, or a more mobile friendly site. But the features totally make up for it!!

Pros:

- user friendly - always improving or adding new features that make it easier to do everything we need - amazing and fast customer support - highly customizable

Cons:

- it's got a lot of features so getting started can be a big learnign curve - sometimes it's hard to get things set the way we want to, but Busy Paws is always great about help and taking suggestions to improve. Our business is complex and it does work very well for most of what we need and is always getting better! - Still some improvements to be made for improving user friendly flow for customers, but it's always getting better.

Good product - slightly complex for a computer illiterate user

5.0 5 months ago

Comments: It's been mainly really good. They've offered me a lot of 1:1 support and the articles describing processes are really clearly laid out and are easy to follow.

Pros:

Once it gets working, it works well. I found it a little complicated to set up more complex things, like a series of puppy classes and needed support with that. I'm pretty sure, however, that this is due to my own lack of knowledge about computers generally.

Cons:

I find these kind of computer programmes difficult to set up.

Initial Thoughts About Busy Paws

4.0 last year

Comments: Overall it's been good. The learning curve has been a little tough, but the customer service has been top tier!

Pros:

I like that it is a software that integrates with other services we use such as mail chimp. I like the way the client portals look, it doesn't look dated and is fresh and clean, very appealing to the eyes. I like that I can host courses right on the service vs having to pay for another subscription to do so. The option to add reminders and documents is really helpful as well.

Cons:

I found that the learning curve was a little steep, but once I got the hang of it, it's pretty straightforward. I would love to see a way for series classes to be a little bit easier to set up. Setting a start and end date vs having to add individual steps and select their date for each one. This is pretty time-consuming.

Comments: Easy to use and set up. Great customer service. Price is reasonable.

Pros:

It is easy to set up and use. The on-boarding process was simple. And the customer service is amazing

Cons:

It's still growing so some features like an app are not available yet. But for us it doesn't make a difference
