Comments: From the moment I can implement this platform in my business, I have noticed a very significant improvement in the management of tools, equipment and materials.
Pros:
It's great because with this platform, I can easily track the location and usage of each item, which has allowed me to reduce waste and unnecessary costs.
Cons:
I may have experienced slight difficulties configuring certain features and customizing reports to my specific needs.

We really like the ease of use. The management of all our tools and consumables is superior from our last program. Customer service has been phenomenal! [sensitive content hidden] is a top notch employee.

No customization of invoices. Startup is very labor intensive.
Tool watch is a great asset

the aspect of being able to track tool sufficiently and in a timely manure

I don't like that there isn't more options when entering tools. the ease to do so is very time consuming

Has added great value to our organization in terms of being able to have visibility of our assets. Also, the billing and purchase orders features

I wish I had more check-in's from our account rep. Also would like to have opportunities to attend conferences or something similar to meet with other high-end users to learn from one another

Comments: Since changing from ToolWatch to Align, everything has continued to run smoothly.
Pros:
Lots of communications sent out about things happening. I use it for tool inventories and tracking. It works perfectly.
Cons:
There is nothing I can pin point that I would consider a con.

Comments: Overall, Tool Watch great. It's quick and there are very few issues with the system.
Pros:
I like the functionality of Tool Watch and ease of use.
Cons:
What I dislike the most is the new cloud version. It is not as fast.

Comments: Overall it's been a great product. I would definitely suggest this to others who were in the market for such software.
Pros:
Ease of Use and it is always easy to translate this to other users in training.
Cons:
Report Design needs the ability to have a bit more layers in filtering to make this an excellent tool.

The ease of tracking and rental adjustments
Cons:
There are some feature I would like to be able to correct myself but I have to contact support to get them done.
Align for the win!
Comments: Onboarding was generally painless. We tried using some advanced features when onboarding that backfired but a basic onboarding would be seamless. We're in constant contact with our reps and support is responsive to our questions.
Pros:
It took us to the next level with regards to consumable inventory management and accuracy. It also allows us to schedule and track maintenance on our equipment which eliminated the need for extra software.
Cons:
From an accounting perspective, the costing methods that are used currently do not generate an accurate material inventory value. I have been told an update is coming to include that feature.
A Cost Effective Tool Tracking Solution
Pros:
I like how easy it is to keep track of tools across multiple jobs, warehouses, and corporate divisions. The customer support is receptive and responsive.
Cons:
Features can be poorly tested and the UI could use a lot of work.
Managing tools
Pros:
All the features in the system like locations of tools and being able to send out reports
Cons:
It seems the cost is high compared to others systems
Great inventory management tool
Pros:
The ToolWatch interface is user-friendly. There is a lot of training material that has helped me quickly learn the back office and warehouse inventory management practices. The support from ToolWatch's team is unmatched from other programs we've tested.
Cons:
The only aspect I've struggled with so far is the billing browser and understanding the dates involved.

Comments: Happy with total outcome of product for our needs

Ease finding and locating items per job site.

At times system freezes and take a while to come back on line for tracking or adding items.

Tool Watch for Construction Companies is a MUST
Pros:
The implementation of the program was alot of work but we were able to tailor the program to fit our needs.
Cons:
Learning the process of movements within Tool Watch
User-friendly with Exceptional Customer Service

ToolWatch is a super easy product to use, very user friendly.I have also taken many on-line training sessions and thoroughly enjoyed and found them useful.The customer service is superb.
Cons:
The least "user-friendly" part of ToolWatch would probably be importing a new rate sheet however customer service is more the eager to help you through the process.

I do not like the different tabs. I would like if there was an ADMIN tab that could do things in Back Office, Warehouse, and Field.

ToolWatch
Comments: One of the better decisions our company made many years ago was to transition to ToolWatch. We have been far better off in our Shop/Warehouse operation because of having this software tool.
Pros:
Being on the finance side of the equation, I love the ability to assign costs to tools, equipment, materials and consumables and then job cost them to our projects. Next, is the general ability to track tools from inventory sites to job sites
Cons:
Over the years we have had a few minor issues with components in the Service Area and Transfers in regards to Units of Measure that took some time to "correct", but overall there is no "least"! One "negative" has been the change in billing in association with the Cloud, as costs have crept upwards.
ToolWatch user for almost 5 years
Comments: Since implementing ToolWatch we have had better visualization of our tools and being able to do inventories more easily has helped save money.
Pros:
Having pictures for tools is helpful. Its easy to find tools using the model search
Cons:
There are some billing features that do not work for us.
Product Use
Pros:
LOVE the reporting functions, and the ease at which one can move assets around.
Cons:
Inability to split one assest amongst several jobs at the same time; have to update each individual rate sheet --> perhaps a check-box list of all your rate sheets available, and you can check the ones that must be updated.
Great tool that is easy to use.
Comments: Implementation was great. The best customer support team in the business.
Pros:
The integration with Sage 300 CRE makes the maintenance easy.
Cons:
There are a few quirks regarding employee set up and emails that can cause small issues.
Growing with the industry.
Comments: [sensitive content hidden] has been an a wonderful asset over the years. I believe that the organization has been growing and providing support in a great manner.
Pros:
The growth over 12 years has been substantial. Over time, the transfer to the cloud, the ability to use the mobile app and the training provided has been significant.
Cons:
The billing data export tool. It is antiquated and needs to be updated so that cost centers can be multi-selected without having to individually click on each one.
User friendly tracking
Comments: I have recommended Tool Watch to a few others . Works well for our needs .
Pros:
I was not involved in the integration , but was told it flowed with ease Did not have the use of a scammer before Tool Watch . Made tool tracking much easier
Cons:
The only issue I have is the software locks up causing the process to slow while waiting for it to clear

Toolwatch has been very helpful in finding tools, logging movement, and needs for tools/equipment across job site locations and internally for our carpenters.
Cons:
Functionality has some long processes especially with set up, but once all set up it's easy to maintain and use.
