Padlet Discussion Board Use

Comments: Padlet is easy to use and a great method to inform and allow interactions

Pros:

Our school uses Padlet to post all digital information and resources for our students. The ability to connect Padlets allows for a lot of Flexibility. This year I noticed a new Padlet format discussion and I am using that in my online classes

Cons:

On the Discussion Padlet it would be nice to have a teacher view to quickly look at new posts and replies based on a time frame. So if we grade on day x and then do grading on day y we would just see a list of post and critiques made within thta time froma.

Padlet as an instrument for Lesson Delivery

Comments: It has been pleasant and useful as I enjoy engaging my students in the learning

Pros:

Ease of use with AI, is the added feature which I found useful.

Cons:

None yet. I will certainly use it with students in the new session and provide my feedback. I enjoy an interactive presence online with my students.

Comments: I really like padlet. Instead of using google drive, i do use padlet to organise my department files.

Pros:

Organised files and easy to access. Friendly user.

Number of free padlets. I hope the free padlets will be more than three

My Educator's Appreciation for Padlet!

Comments: My Pros describe--I've used in my math and reading content teaching with 5th grade. I've also used extensively with my Adult ESL students! They enjoy using it, adding pictures and it enhances their writing skills. Love it!

Pros:

Many different ways to use for teaching strategies/writing/math, all content areas at all different levels, plus the captivating backgrounds! Please add more captivating backgrounds!

Cons:

Nothing! However, possibly, when you have updates to the different areas of the platform, it's a bit hard to adjust to the newness. Have used for years! Still want to use!

Padlet review

Comments: I love using the Padlet as it allows for easy documentation and gather responses

Pros:

Padlet provides an opportunity to gather responses/ knowledge from participants and its encouraging to read others thoughts and views. It's flexible interface allows for posting of images and pictures thereby allowing different ways of expression. It permits users to change the background and format it according to ones needs, making it versatile and effective. Padlet stays on the dashboard and can be retrieved for future reference.

Cons:

When downloading the pdf version of the Padlet the look of it changes. Maintaining the same could be preferred.

Middle School Use

Comments: I love to use padlet to showcase student work and have students collaborate with each other on a board. I also like that it can be personalized with backgrounds and images.

Pros:

I like to have students being able to post either anonymously or with their name.

Cons:

Nothing I can think of off the top of my head.

Comments: Practical, easy to use, fun, engaging, and I love it

Love this for PL workshops

Comments: It has been great having my padlets and I use them when I lead professional development. My participants return to the padlets again and again. And each time I lead a workshop, we gain more ideas onto the Padlet.

Pros:

I like that it’s visually stimulating and that it is a living document. There are many options for engaging with a Padlet too.

Cons:

I wish the free version allowed for a few more padlets.

Comments: Overall, I’ve had a great experience and I look forward to explore and learn more about Padlet.

Pros:

Having fun in what you do is a highway to success. Padlet has given me the freedom I need to take control of my surroundings as a Chief Operating Officer. This comes in hand with an advanced capability to organize work and achieve more. Files, assets and ideas are given the attention they require to drive the company goals to greater heights. Padlet has it all.

Cons:

Padlet has no cons in my experience. It is easy to use and maintain. Cost effective and very secure.

Comments: I knew the Padlet in the middle of 2020 year and since this I use for profissional and personal purposes. Like teacher, I share contents, exercises and stuff with my students. As private purposes, I use like photos galery to share with my family and friends. When my father was sick my sisters and I share all contenst that we found to help us to understaind his disease.
I think that is a great tool for many purposes

Pros:

It´s easy to use, allow exposition of contents and interaction with the readers. It´s funny, humorous and versatile. It´s for free If you wish!

Cons:

Nothing! Believe me, I joke around calling myself "The Padlet crazy girl!", because I use Padlet for everthing!

Dread Rubric Writing No More

Comments: I work with pre-service teachers and Padlet is a wonderful way for them to experience technology they can use in the classroom. The new AI features are amazing and I am still working with refining my search terms. Students who are leery of technology have an easy time using Padlet and that is so helpful in easing them into other uses.

Pros:

I absolutely love the new rubric creation! This is a task I dreaded and now actually look forward to creating rubrics. Padlet takes my directions and generates a rubric to my specifications. I can then make any minor tweaks necessary and boom -my job is done.

Cons:

Honestly, what I like least is my inability to remember how to log in to our school site without having to open a pre-existing Padlet. That's all on me!

Comments: Love it and I would highly recommend it to any teacher wanting an easy prep for lesson planning.

Pros:

I love the set up and easy access in using Padlet for our planning and prep. It allows us to have a clear overview of the week's expectations for our subjects and easy access to the video clips, media and worksheet.

Cons:

I'm still learning the different aspects to Padlet and hopefully in my holidays I can get time to learn more cool features.

Padlet in the Classroom!

Pros:

I love how Padlet allows students to use technology to collaborate. I have used it in the classroom many times as a way for students to share their thoughts about a subject, while also being able to read the thoughts of their classmates. This technology works great as an Exit Ticket. You can have students put their name and their comment to make sure everyone collaborates. Also, I love how each Padlet generates a QR code. Students can enter the Padlet quickly and easily by using their phone to scan the QR code. They don't have to type a long URL to access the form. This is a great way to get students engaged. I have shared it with my colleagues and they have had great success implementing it in their classrooms as well.

Cons:

Some of the functions are little hard for students to figure out, such as how to add a picture to their comment.

It is very useful to sort and store resources and also for communication and collaboration.

Cons:

The fact that you can only attach one link or resource to each post.

Top Tech Tool for Teachers

Comments: I love using this as a digital discussion board for students to use across classes to see how they are working with one another.

Pros:

I love that it's easy to use and there are a variety of post types instead of just being one or two like other similar sites.

I wish there were more free padlets for educators.

Padlet - A Digital tool fit for purpose and projection

Comments: Really extends and strengthens the value of using this digital education and communication tool.

Pros:

I am still learning about padlet, but for now I always wanted to make my webinar sessions come alive with a little narrative, relevant pictures, videos, student comments and most of all without discriminating special education needs students - SEN. Creating lessons with a touch of holistic learning using padlet as a digital education communication platform that makes interacting fun and engaging for the Class. Padlet allows us using the Universal Design for Learning UDL as an approach to Teaching and Learning that gives all students an equal opportunity. We are not leaving any learner behind.

Cons:

Difficult to create new padlets as it latches onto the previous padlets and make it difficult to separate the different padlets.

Additional student materials

Comments: I found Padlet when education was put on a hold due to Covid. I was able to continue working with students easily during this time thank to Padlet

Pros:

I can easily post the weekly agenda to students and parents. Additional materials are there for students who need additional support

Cons:

not a whole lot of anything. It is very user friendly for all students at all different levels.
