Cloud-based protection done right

5.0 5 years ago

Comments: Using iBoss has been a breeze for us and our customers. We were evaluating a number of products and IBoss came on top in our comparison. We have been using it for more than a year now and have nothing but praise for the product and the team that implemented and supports it. Recommended

Pros:

Ease of use and stability. We have not had a single outage in the 1 year we have been using it.

Cons:

So far so good, no complaints. It is transparent to the user

iBoss in a small-medium sized public school

5.0 last year

Comments: Overall, it was good. The biggest issue was the VPN addition through the Google Chrome Browser. It allowed a student to get around the filtering.

Pros:

iBoss is easy to use for those unfamiliar with online security and filtering. I found it simple to maneuver and find what I needed. The customer support was very good and responsive.

Cons:

I found that it did miss a few items from time to time. We used it primarily when students had their devices out of the district. If students put on a VPN, they can easily circumvent the filtering.

IBoss has advantages, but mostly it provides too many barriers to access

2.0 2 years ago

Comments: I was often more frustrated than happy with it.

Pros:

It was reliable in blocking websites, but often too much so.

Cons:

The individual monitoring of students wasn't intuitive, reliable, or user friendly. From an admin point of view, it was difficult to change blocked websites for quick and easy access when needed for class.

Comments: Good product.

Pros:

Easy of use and reporting. Logical way to filter.

Cons:

Cloud features could use upgrading. Cloud filter needs more features.

iBoss for Education - 6-12

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

I work as a support specialist for a cyber school. Having the ability to filter content to protect our students is crucial. We are very happy with the iBoss product.

Cons:

There are a lot of "moving parts" to iBoss but once you get to know them the product does all the heavy lifting for you. I once made a bonehead mistake and unchecked a box that caused everyone to lose the ability to open Chrome. I wish there had been some kind of warning.

Cons:

No issues or complaints so far. Not so cheap, not so expensive.
