An excellent solution to access windows in other countries.
Pros:
A fundamental characteristic of this software is its adaptability and ease of use, but the most important thing is the results it provides. With just activate it opens a window to the world, an endless amount of content that geographical barriers could not access. When I search for references for advertising campaigns, it is necessary to have the most options and Softethervpn gives you the option to search the world without restrictions. You can also use it from any device, either as an extension of Google Chrome or as an application for your smartphone. Simply excellent.
Cons:
I would add two points to strengthen the tool, I would place more options for central countries such as: E.E.U.U, Almeania and Spain. And it would increase the speed.
Works every time flawlessly
Comments: Running a small business is hard in this economy but without this VPN I couldn't run a successful HIPAA compliant business. My clients trust me and I trust my software.
Pros:
The set up was painless, quite easy to do especially for someone who is not an IT person. I have sensitive, HIPAA information that must be protected every time I access clients remotely and this VPN is top notch. My clients can trust that I am HIPAA compliant every time I remote in to their site. I couldn't do my job without this software.
Cons:
Sometimes it restricts sites that I must access for my Company, but this is ok, I can work around this. I like that it is so secure.
Open source and very easy to use.
Pros:
I used SoftEther when my country blocked social media, it allowed us to bypass the censorship very easy, the performance were very high compared to alternatives and there were no limit thanks to open-source license.
Cons:
The only can I can think of is the website, which is outdated and could be redone from the beginning to allow the less experienced people to find what they look for easily.
Best and excellent VPN for Secured connections over the internet
Comments: Overall, this software is amazing and I recommend it to all users
Pros:
Using this software, it has made me enjoy the features embedded in it. But what most strikes me is the high level of security in the software
Cons:
I haven't encountered any negative Effects using this software
Softether, you can find whatever you want
Comments: It is free and the most flexible VPN Server which I could set a lot of policies for users to connect the Interner server in the case of bandwidth and concurrent connections.
Pros:
It is a free opensource VPN solution that you can install on any operating system including Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and ... without any limitation on the number of users or anything else. It is flexible so you can change VPN Ports to any port you wish. Users can connect to the Server using ICMP and DNS, so it means that it can pass from the most powerful firewalls. Defining 38 flexible policies for users and the server is a nice facility, So you can limit the number of concurrent logins, connection speed (Upload and Download bandwidth), using VOIP, ... IP Access Control List is a facility for limiting users to be connected from different IP Addresses. On the other hand, by defining different Virtual Hubs, we can have different policies for different users.
Cons:
Recently, the OpenVPN profile does not contain the certificate and key information and the administrator should copy them separately to profile. I don't know this is a bug or new policy of SoftEther. I wished SoftEther provides its unique client for iOS and Android. Connecting to SoftEther Server using a VPN connection or OpenVpn in mobile phones is not as efficient as Windows SoftEther client.
SoftEther VPN
Comments: Overall after working through the setup and configuration options the day to day use is seamless and straight forward. Once you get over the learning curve this is a great self hosted vpn service.
Pros:
I liked the range of options, it could run VPN services on any port, integration with Active Directory. Also able to setup in different configurations to allow access to a remote site, or to run all network traffic like a traditional VPN to mask traffic.
Cons:
really need to know alot about networking and what your needs are to configure the server side. Configured incorrectly this could lead to major security issues.
Works well!
Pros:
Free, open source and working, what else do you need?! To overcome social media blockage or to access foreign content I used SoftEther, it was very easy to install, and it's just straight forward, you are up and running in less than 5 minutes!
If you are looking for a free VPN client with thousand of servers online, go for it.
Comments: I admire the work of SoftEther and will continue to use it in future because it provides more than good services for free.
Pros:
The choice of available regions is numerous. Connect anywhere in the world with the full info given about the servers. Definitely unique and good stuff!
Cons:
Server failure issues and high pings are frequent, finding a best, stable server is hard.
