Reviews of Skore
Process Mapping Made Simple (and Soon Even More Powerful)
Comments: As a long-time user of Skore (across multiple companies and even in job interviews!), I've consistently found its simplicity and affordability to be key selling points. It's a fantastic tool for those without coding experience to improve processes within their organizations. I'm particularly excited about Skore's recent acquisition by NetCall. This hints at the potential for future integrations that would allow users to not only design process improvements but also directly automate them within the platform. If successful, this could make Skore a true end-to-end process optimization powerhouse.
Pros:
Skore excels at creating clear, easy-to-understand process maps, fostering collaboration and reducing the need for BPMN expertise.
Cons:
Currently, Skore lacks direct integrations with other systems, limiting its ability to execute process automation directly within the platform.
Alternatives Considered:
Engaging an entire organization in process improvement
Comments: We had a wonderful experience using Skore to build our End-to-End Process Map. Skore allowed us to have meaningful conversations about how work was accomplished in our organization and how we could improve the work.
Pros:
Skore has a zero learning curve for beginning process improvement within an organization. The process maps are easily understood by everyone, from Finance to R&D to Legal and Manufacturing departments. It creates a standard approach for mapping a process so that it is easy to understand and execute. Most importantly, it allows users to provide feedback so that the process can be continually improved.
Cons:
Sometimes, users don't know they can apply their feedback to a specific step in the process, and I'm left guessing which step they are referring to that has an issue. Skore is so intuitive to use that users will skip the two-minute video guide we provide them that explains how to leave feedback on a process.

Hi Claudia, we really appreciate your feedback. So glad you have enjoyed using Skore!
Keep it simple with Skore & UPN
Comments: It helped me to engage customers who are not familiar with process mapping and so we could together enhance & improve those.
Pros:
The commitment of Skore’s team to go beyond the tool, to support business analysis, continuous improvment and promotion of best practice through weekly sessions with users, training materials and effective customer support.
Cons:
Skore can do better when it comes to end users as it is now very efficient toward business analysts. So, i would hope to see more integration and reporting capabilities.
Alternatives Considered:
Great tool for process mapping
Comments: I´ve been using SKORE for more than 1y and my overall experience was very good - it allows me to capture the client´s processes in a very structured way.
Pros:
the ability to create different process layers (high level/detailed level) in the same process map; the ability to add as much info as needed to the process steps and structure it based on the needs.
Cons:
the look & feel, shapes, colors, background, etc
Amazing user friendly mapping tool
Pros:
Easy to map, web based, all details can be added in attachment so no compromise has to be made
Cons:
lack of visibility on who wants access to a process
The GOAT of BPM
Comments: Amazing. Cannot recommend them enough. The features and roadmap are on the money for what the market needs to see in an affordable, accessible tool.
Pros:
UPN is so easy for my customers who are not inclined to work with flowcharts and process models. That alongside it's repository and business tools to manage individual records such as roles and systems is a game-changer for fast impact assessments of change.
Cons:
There are a few clicks required to add other elements to whatboxes such as documents and other attributes. The documents feature is handy but there are far better knowledge management tools in market that I would pair with Skore rather than use Skore to store documents.
Simple but very effective process mapping tool
Comments: Skore is a very flexible process mapping tool with additional features extending it to a process management tool with its process review features. We use it for customer engagements and also internally.
Pros:
The ease of use with Skore's simple methodology for capturing business processes. Combining What and Why boxes allows us to capture complex requirements often in front of customers allowing them to visualise the output and concepts quickly. Being able to add quantification data to the processes enables us to demonstrate where improvements can be made through time savings both in lost time and implementing new technologies.
Cons:
There is nothing currently that I dislike in the platform. The team are responsive to feedback.

Hi Alasdair, thanks so much for taking the time to write a review. We'll make sure your kind words get back to the team.
A simple but powerful way to capture processes
Pros:
The most beneficial thing about Skore is that it allows us to capture processes at the speed of conversation. It's simple and easy to use notation lends itself well to both online and in-person environments, and allows you to create a powerful visual way to bring a process to life. The Skore team listen to users and work to continuously adapt and improve, as well as offering quick and helpful assistance when required.
Cons:
There can be occasional formatting issues or small bugs, but these are regularly reviewed and addressed by the team once raised.
Still impressed and still improving
Comments: I've been using since around 2020 and find the product keeps improving
Pros:
Ease of use and starting modelling. The way it allows for interactive collaboration is great
Cons:
It's hard to find any, our main issue/challenge is using a new tool which seems to trigger hostility to changes
Professional and Fantastic support
Comments: [sensitive content hidden] is amazing, responsive, professional and really helpful - cannot recommend SKORE enough
Pros:
The reporting is fantastic, make sure you think about what you want to get out of it so that you set up the right boxes at the beginning.
Cons:
There isnt anything I do not like about Skore
Alternatives Considered:
If you like UPN, then you will love Spark (formerly know as Skore)
Comments: I love using Skore (or Spark as it is now called) for processing mapping in workshops. It makes it possible for all participants to contribute towards a shared process that gets documented in real time without the need to spend hours after the meeting translating from white boards etc.
Pros:
It's the best tool I have found in terms of being able to document processes using UPN as well as reviewing and maintaining them. The software is fast and easy to use and easy to explain to new users.
Cons:
That viewer (free user) comments cannot be placed onto a process map (only on side bar).
Simple but powerful process discovery and management solution
Pros:
I looked at many process management toolsets before choosing Skore. Nothing on the market could compete with Skore for flexibility and ease of use. We find Skore invaluable for rapidly capturing current process detail and being a springboard for driving continual process improvement.
Cons:
Not really a con, but you can always think of additional features which you would like in a software application, and Skore lacked certain features when I first tried it. However, my experience over the last three years has shown that the Skore team are constantly looking to improve their solution and now Skore has evolved to become a market leader.

Hi David, thank you so much for taking the time to give us your feedback on Skore. We'll make sure that your comments are fed back to the team!
Not a Product, but a Support Team
Pros:
Easy to use, manages complexity well. Captures the essential information well, and provides analysis e.g. on timings, responsibilities. In addition the expertise and knowledge across the Skore family (Skore staff and users/consultants) network drives improvements and shares expertise.
Cons:
Working on a small (laptop) screen can be tricky for ease of seeing the whole process.
Simple to implement, store, manage, visualise and change process
Comments: Everything about our SKORE experience was simple and effective from implementation to the support and the tool delivers the functionality. There was always someone to help from either SKORE or the community.
Pros:
The support from the SKORE team was exceptional, they were with us all the way. Implementation was simple and quick, just like flicking a switch. The drag and drop functionality makes mapping process a joy and visually the process look clean. The overall ease of use and how quickly people with no previous experience came up to speed is what I like most, the time to effectiveness was short.
Cons:
Generally in business there is a fair bit of compliance and regulation and whilst custom fields could be used it would be great if there was a simple way to identify on an activity if there was a compliance or regulatory requirement.

Skore makes process mapping (& more) so easy
Comments: We've had so much support from the team at Skore to help us onboard other team members & use the system. I trust the Skore team fully & their acceptance of feedback helps shape future iterations of the software.
Pros:
At its very basics I can get a team of colleagues on a teams or zoom call & write an as-is process so we can then understand where the pain points are & the teams can work to resolve them for the aspirational end to end process.
Cons:
Sometimes you find a feature that you would like & it's not available in the current version, so we feedback to the Skore team & they take it onboard.

Hi Christopher, thank you for the response. Glad to hear that the transition to Skore has been so positive!
Process adoption and change
Comments: Skore is an emerging company looking to work with customers to create leading process management software. As such they have shown exceptional support alongside the ability to adapt to a changing client base. Skore has provided very good support for training and where issues need to be resolved. The Skore solution has a delivery roadmap to show continued evolution of the services and product, ensuring we are working with a forward thinking and client receptive company.
Pros:
Skore is intuitive and easy to adopt across an organisation, simplifying the development, delivery and adoption of processes.
Cons:
We continue to develop our understanding of the software with the Skore team actively supporting our multi lingual operational environment. There are occasional delays in the solution performance, however, operating 9 timezones apart creates technical delays identified as the cause, so not directly related to Skore.

Pros:
Easy to capture processes while working with a remote team.Skore helps me quickly resolve conflicting process perspectives as voiced by Team members

Great tool for an Analyst
Comments: We analyse processes with a view to standardising and streamlining. We need a tool to quickly map processes on the fly during discovery conversations with clients. Skore allows us to do this.Platform developments are opening up new possibilities for additional ways to get value from Skore, taking it from a process mapping tool to a Process Management platform.
Pros:
Very simple to get going with the tool and build complexity and greater value into your process maps later on.
Cons:
I used to want more control over your portfolio of process maps. The Skore team have since addressed this with their Folders/Workspaces so I'm happy!

Honest review after using Skore for a year
Comments: Very positive, i like it a lot there are loads of features that assist in bringing a process alive, and helping audiences understand them easier.
Pros:
I really like that in a click of a button all processes within the organisation are accessible. It's really easy to use and in no time you'll forget about Visio. There are other features that effortlessly bring in analytics about the process, which is ideal when you're looking for opportunities for improvement.
Cons:
More with my own transition and ways of working from Visio, it was hard at first coming away from swim lanes, but now looking back the way Skore facilitates Roles and systems is far more easier, having not to worry about all overlaps.

Easy to use but deceptively powerful
Comments: Skore is being used on a wide variety of projects, both internal and with clients. It's being used to discover and optimise processes, identify improvements, capture business requirements and to support change and transformation projects
Pros:
Easy and intuitive to use, based on the UPN process notation and methodology. Web-based and developing fast following the recent upgrade.
Cons:
Some enterprise capabilities not yet developed, but I understand may to be in the pipeline for future releases. Some functionality affected by browser performance, which can be a bit disruptive to a live workshop

Pros:
The simplicity of process mapping makes the software really easy to understand and explain to others. It also helps us ensure cross-functional consistency and provides the opportunity to analyse and understand efficinecy and contribution of different tools across the business.
Cons:

Skore Process Improvement
Comments: Skore is a great product, which can produce impressive results efficiently. It is a great tool to work with and clients love the speed of the product, which reduces the impact on their staff, but also the quality of the analysis and reporting features which can clearly demonstrate their key activities, resource and system usage and helps them to identify or validate areas for improvement
Pros:
The product is so quick and easy to use as an online product to capture, review and demonstrate a process from the highest to the lowest level of decomposition. The product comes with a standard template, giving you all the modelling tools you will need, and, after you have created a new role, it remembers and presents the role as you type.
Cons:
The software is primarily intended for online use and therefore does not scale very well for printing; processes can be printed but fonts and spacing needs to be manipulated to retain readable fonts on busy diagrams.
