A flexible tool that helped us during a long low-occupancy period

Pros:

Easy of use & setup, great support and good technical documentation if you use the API and webhooks for setup taylor-made tours and activities. If you are starting up, It is a very good way to prepare your company for growth.

Cons:

Lack of payment integration with LATAM countries.

Alternatives Considered: Toogo and Checkfront

Rezdy Revs up your Revenue

Comments: We looked at Rezdy in 2013 but chose another very decent company. Unfortunately, they were not improving the product. We reviewed our 2013 selection notes in 2015 and trialed Rezdy and two other providers. Rezdy stood out in so many ways, but the flat and fair pricing hocked us. The other companies and their "BS" zero cost plans are so pricey and create/pass along a very high pricing service charge to your customers. Add up the numbers. Rezdy runs, we push its limits. We are so happy with this product.

Pros:

Stability and uptime are great. The software is easy to use and it creates tours online in minutes. The flexibility to share the reservation pages are simple and handle a variety of ways to deploy. We use iframes within our site and under the "Sell online" menu has various options available to deploy in a variety of ways using auto-generated code. Reports are useful including the manifests, and ability export. Promo codes, gift certs, categories and so much more are easy to manage. Sorting features are easy and quick.

Cons:

The manifest page does not support copying a column with multiple rows. It does not work with Control keys i.e. CTRL+C or menus selections. But exporting is a decent workaround.

Alternatives Considered: Peek Pro, Xola, WebReserv, Bookeo and Zaui

Reasons for Choosing Rezdy: They were not improving their product and the mobile backend was weak. Other issues I cannot even remember.

Reasons for Switching to Rezdy: Ease of use, overall lower cost, great product support, no noticeable downtime.

Avoid this Rezdy dinosaur like the plague

Comments: The system is an absolute drain on your will to live.

Pros:

The calendar feature is a big advantage of this system

Cons:

Everything - from the price to the US or Australian time zone customer support (no EU time support) through to the illogical rules, poor interface and poor terminology - it really is a system that looks as though it needs a radical rebuild based on rudimetary business process design not accountants ideas of how to count bookings for tour operators.

A good solution for small-mid companies

Comments: In general, the experience is good: the only thing is that I cannot change some words in the Spanish interface, and the product descriptions could have more fields, but in general, it fulfills its purpose well.
Its integration with Stripe is very good, which does not make it necessary to enter to the platform for the issue of refunds.

Pros:

I come form Bókun: Rezdy is more flexible customizing reservation options. We are a Travel Agency creating our own products with very local providers, and sometimes we have events tickets, train tickets, hotels, and we mix it together... at the moment, Rezdy solve each of my issues.

Cons:

As I said, we come from Bókun... I miss a lot the online site creator (wich is a Duda white label integration). Rezdy with this will be unbeateable for me!

The best B2B tour booking software

Comments: We used Rezdy both directly and through an API for booking tours. The API bookings were done through our web app and the direct ones were done by our agents. In both cases, the bookings went through without any issues. Rezdy was one of the rare booking systems that we used that we did not have any issues using. I would definitely recommend Rezdy to everyone who wants to have a beautiful and working tour booking software. Additionally, Rezdy comes with a marketplace where you can easily find operators you want to use, eliminating the need of doing much research on that end.

Pros:

It is incredibly well made. Unlike most of the tour booking software out there, Rezdy is easy to set up, navigate, and use. The user interface is polished, the booking process is simple and straightforward, and the API is very well documented.

Cons:

The only drawback for me was the price, but seeing how well made Rezdy is, I can understand that the price would be high.

Disaster for a busy business

Comments: Terrible! Overbooking, Calendar function not working, Birth dates customers entered were showing as born in 1800, online booking was kicking customers out after they entered all their info, there are so many issues you can not list them all. This is all something that began in May 2020 after using the system since 2018 without too many issues but when they started it was a complete malfunction on all fronts.

Pros:

It was good for a while but it started malfunctioning in ever aspect of the software. Nothing could be done by customer service. I have tried for months with them not being able to fix the multiple problems within their system

Cons:

Lack of customer service. Malfunctioning software.

Alternatives Considered: FareHarbor

Reasons for Choosing Rezdy: PeekPro was not as diverse as Rezdy claimed to be.

Reasons for Switching to Rezdy: They appeared to be the most flexible for my business.

Best Sofware for Activity Operator

Comments: Great experience!

Pros:

What I liked from the beginning is that has already all the features I required to sell and distribute my tours and manage my resources. You can choose your card merchant and you can have a large inventory and manage it with ease. Great widgets and great support, I am using it especially to cross-sell products with other operators that use the same software. Look no further is you look for an all-inclusive easy and complete system.

Cons:

If you have a large inventory you can't manage all on the same calendar without using filters. I would add more features to manage resources, especially third party companies and free lance staff.

Pros:

We completely rely on it to run our public walking tour business. It has been incredibly robust. No glitches, no hacks, and runs just very very smoothly. The monthly updating is essential to improve it & keep the quality at a top industry best standard.

Cons:

We look a long time to set ours up so it works in our particular business & (in Uk) no one (we think) is using how we are. Some of our staff still struggle with remembering how to use it as it’s very complicated - because it does so much. But my goodness it’s been a game changer!

Comments: Over the years we’ve been able to see Rezdy grow and offer more features.
Pricing has got higher which I find disappointing as it’s got very expensive with not a lot of additional features.

Pros:

It’s easy to use. Has a lot of features can connect easily with agents & other products

Cons:

New feature of 7 day search default / can’t search by booking name only booking number

Alternatives Considered: Online Booking Manager and FareHarbor

Reasons for Switching to Rezdy: Ease of use and cost was original reason / once produced are set up on a platform it’s hard to change it all again.

Easy to use booking system.

Pros:

easy to use and understand. simple to put in products and change as necessary.

Cons:

I seem to have a lot of products and not utilise other features, which makes finding some products harder. A sub category would definitely help.

Comments: Overall, I like the system and I think it has a lot of really great features. There are many workarounds we have to create to accomplish some things, but overall it was well thought out, and the regular enhancements shows that the company is continuously working to improve and adapt to the changing industry. I like the shopping cart experience and the fact that you can also sell merchandise as well as a variety of other categories to create products under. The online booking engine is great, and I love that you can automate an email for a client to pay a balance right from the email by clicking a button. I have not gotten into the marketplace and industry partnership features, but I am excited to see what it can do. I would probably give Rezdy five stars if we could view or print simple reports showing sales And availability summaries Rather than having to click all over the place to view individual tours one at time, or download spreadsheets And do all the calculations manually

Pros:

I like the online booking feature. It’s clean, uncomplicated and much simpler for users Than Eventbrite. I like the automated emails, the ability to add questions for the entire reservation and for individual participants, Such as meal choices. I like that they are continuously looking for ways to make improvements come on and despite the other comments on this platform, I found customer service to be very responsive and helpful.

Cons:

The reporting is the biggest frustration. Just to see how sales are going to have to flip through month by month, tour by tour to compile the information. There is not even a simple summary report showing daily sales, credit card fees, booking fees, etc. you can’t even print a single report, only download spreadsheets of raw data. We offer hundreds of tours every year, and to simply see how overall sales are going across all products or sessions is critical so we can strategize, add buses on good selling tours, look ahead to see what might need to be canceled Due to low sales. i’m sure this is fine for companies that do the same few tours every day after day, but for larger tour operators with high volume and more variety, The inability to view or print a simple summary Sales report is very frustrating and hard to imagine the reasoning we’re not building those in

The Best Online Booking System for Tours and Activities

Comments: It has been really great and a big boost for our business.

Pros:

The platform is very customizable and there are preset configurations for various types of tours and activities which makes it a huge time saver when setting things up. They really get the need for data and analytics and make a good number of tools available to easily integrate with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. The Trip Advisor Review Express Integration also makes it very easy to grab a bunch of reviews and set the request process for reviews on auto-pilot. They also have these widgetized elements that make embedding calendars and products into your website very easy. All around, a great platform that really increased our bookings YOY and dramatically increased revenues in the business while lowering our time and customer interactions to get an booking. Highly recommend.

Cons:

It is a VERY robust system, and it does a LOT of stuff, so, there is a lot learn. The system is well documented and support is prompt, so like with any new system, you just have to work through it. A series of setup or getting started videos would be helpful though.

Rezdy is a solid choice

Comments: We've been utilizing Rezdy since 2015 and have had a great experience overall. The channel manager works well and we've grown business with other online resellers and their customer support is proactive and always available when we need them.

Pros:

We like using Rezdy as a channel manager as it connects us to multiple OTA's and travel agents and allows for 24/7, real-time, live inventory and bookings.

Cons:

Rate management within the platform doesn't allow for dynamic rates. We ended up building a customized integration with Rezdy to override the pricing input into the platform to allow dynamic rates to be pushed and pulled into the system by session.

Good product, but all about big profits and not helping small business

Comments: 8 years ago when we started with Rezdy I could not recommend them highly enough. However, over the past few years they have have become focused on high fees. We operate mulitday tours, so this percentage of 1.75% (plus a $249 monthly fee), or 2% (plus $49 monthly fee - but doesn't include many features) works out to be very expensive when you run multiday tours and is over a 1000% increase on what we were paying previously. Luckily we are on a legacy contract, but will have to change systems if they force us onto their new plans, which they are doing by decrease support for the old plans.
Now we have had an issue with a Cyber Attack and if turns out they have stopped supporting some merchant gateways and are pushing everyone to use their own Rezdy Pay merchant system (which again is much more expensive than our current system we have with local Australian merchant and banks).
So beware if you sign up that the product is good, but not sure it is worth the current money grab.

Pros:

The features in Rezdy are great and easy to use. Mostly straight forward for guests to book (although some still struggle with some features like gift cards) and pretty straight forward behind the scenes. Easy to print manifests and change bookings.

Cons:

The resources is clunky and needs improving. Also, their reporting could be improved dramatically but it gives a good overview.

Software that is so ingrained in the travel sector you almost have to power through its unusability

Pros:

In Australia, everyone uses Rezdy. Just like it says on the tin, it's a quick & easy way to interface with thousands of agents, OTAs and more from around the world.

Cons:

First, it follows the classic SaaS strategy of aggressive sales techniques followed by inattentive support. The software is very powerful, but so much so that a new user (like myself, a one-man operator) will struggle to comprehend. The price is very high for a business just starting out it doesn't adjust price based on volume and price gates essential tools into the upper subscription brackets. I have no doubt that I will eventually need to consider returning to this software if I continue to scale, but for now I'm pleased to be on another platform.

Powerful booking software at a fair price

Pros:

I've used Rezdy for many years and even though sales reps from many of their competitors consistently try to woo me over, here I am today still working with Rezdy. First a foremost, Rezdy is the most robust booking software you can subscribe to at a monthly flat rate. All the other contenders charge IMHO an unreasonable amount for their "free" software. It's a good deal if you aren't doing much revenue, but as soon as you get to some bigger numbers, it becomes a big hit on the bottom-line. They have certainly evolved for the better over the last couple years and I am continually impressed in how they improve from year to year. They continue to add great features and are an essential component to my business.

Cons:

One feature I would like to have is importing tour session data from a CSV file. If you are coming over from a different system with inconsistent times in your tour sessions (like those working with cruise ships), it is tedious to get it all imported as you have to do it one at a time. A spreadsheet import would be amazing here. For what it's worth, I've never seen any system have this feature though :-/ Getting setup is sometimes a struggle, but as long as you are patient and willing to work diligently with customer support, everything will be great once you are off and running.

Pros:

The calendar and manifest are the best features of Rezdy and that is where I spend most of my time. They are constantly modifying the manifest options which really helps with my customer check-in and that is a time when everything needs to be seamless.

Cons:

I wish Rezdy had an integration with When I Work so I could help track guides with their respective shifts.

Great UX for consumers and staff

Comments: The onboarding and support teams are excellent. They made the setup and deploment of products so easy. Our team is now confident and consumers also find it so easy to make bookings.

Pros:

Ease of set up and the template email's are great. The API with our payment gatweay and with Paypal has made it so easy to accept payments for online bookings. The interface with 3rd party booking platforms also allows us to push out inventory to booking agents.

Cons:

The default page on launch can not be set (yet). Internally we use the Calendar screen as our default screen and need to open it each day. It's just a niggle really :-)

I really wanted to choose Rezdy but found it impossible to commit after a trial

Pros:

As a life-long techie I found the user interface surprisingly good, sadly there's more form than function. The feature list is comprehensive if not overbearing when you first login. Using a 'trial' account I managed to get integrated to Stripe and Xero, and setup a basic product and have it live on my website within 4 hours, very impressive. Sadly that's where the pro's ended tho.

Cons:

Super aggressive sales since showing an interest, to a point on the 4th phone call in 5 days I had to say to the guy if he called again I would "definitely' be going somewhere else. Found serious flaws in the resource allocations, sharing 1 asset between a multi-booking product and a single booking product (shared minibus vs private booking), the availability for the shared product (max 9 available) consistently return to 1 available after making a private booking and cancelling it again. The only way I found to fix that was manually update the Calendar for all available days. Seriously? Regardless how big your company you'll be held to ransom for one of the most basic customer selections, pick-up points. For the priveledge of that option you have to surrender a HUGE amount of subscription money that is now (keeps increasing) unaffordable for a completely new business. What's the point of an easy booking process if you then have to contact every customer to enquire where they'd like to be picked up? Restricting that option to a Premium and very expensive subscription is pure greed! As a critical booking component Rezdy left me no option but to go elsewhere.

Rezdy - a perfect partner for toursim businesses

Comments: We operate hire boats and guided tours with Food and Drink Add-ons purely as online-prebookable.
Rezdy was easy (but very time-consuming) to setup and it is very easy to modify products and resources. Any occuring issues or questions are tackled by the superb support team immediately and thoroughly. So far (2.5 years of operation) we have not experienced any outage or software glitch with rezdy.

Pros:

Ease of use, the ease of implementing it in our website and the AWESOME (!) support team.

Cons:

The "Reports" tool especially the export function gives a very bad user experience and it is not calculation properly (you can't rely on the exported csv and you have to recalculate it manually).

Comments: Limitation around confirmation and follow up emails.
Not much opportunity for segmentation for CRM
We were told during integration that Square and Rezdy had two way communication, it doesn't. This is an important part for future upgrades for us.

Pros:

Great website integration, extra's are great.

Cons:

Difficult to program emails and support is always through email. Would prefer to the option to book workshop as this would be more time effecient rather than waiting for someone in the US to get back to us.

Using Rezdy to book tours

Comments: The ability for prospective guests to be able to go the website and through Rezdy immediately determine product details and availability for a required date is a major plus. Add to this the easy and straightforward booking options for a guest make this a product of choice.

Pros:

I use Rezdy as my booking platform through my website to promote tour details and allow easy and hassle-free booking by any guests wishing to book a tour. I have found the level of training at start-up and subsequent support to be amazing, with quick, helpful and detailed responses when initiating a query. This is backed up by a slew of videos and training sessions online that are easily found with a Google search.

Cons:

I am yet to find anything that I dislike about Rezdy

Brought us out of the dark ages, into the light!

Comments: Overall experience has been and continues to be fabulous. Customer support is spot on every time and always within easy reach. We LOVE using ready.

Pros:

We love the streamlined workflow which has dramatically simplified our administration for booking students as well as managing class numbers on the fly. Easily accessible interface from anywhere in the world allows us to manage our business remotely with little fuss.

Cons:

Marketplace, although a great concept it needs to be regulated a little bit better. Difficult to separate the genuine resellers from time wasters. We would love a little more customisation with sales of gift cards and ability to manifest events which run over a number of weeks such as an 8 week course on a set night once a week.

Tour operator ease

Comments: Good and getting better.

Pros:

So easy to block dates, change scheduling, add new product, process orders, collect data, link to website, create vouchers, connect with distributers. Like the mobile app for quick daily check on departures and manifest checking.

Cons:

Integration has progressed really well in processing payments and cancellations via different pathways.
