Ubidots is a great platform for IoT

Pros:

I love the easy of use and complete feature set. With the new HTML widgets in the dashboards, Ubifunctions and key integrations, it is a very complete service. Customer service is amazing so I am very content.

Cons:

There are some features I would love to see such as "event on data send". That said, new functions are being added all the time and the programmable nature of the platform makes it easy to find an alternative way of achieving what you need.

Great platform for experimenting and then scaling data driven ideas.

Pros:

Ability to create complex workflows in an easy graphic UI.

Cons:

Rather complex handling of large amounts of individual data sources per device.

Comments: My overall experience with Ubidots has been extremely positive. The platform is intuitive and versatile, allowing for quick implementation of IoT solutions. However, on more basic plans, some of the advanced features are limited, which may be something to consider depending on the project's needs.

Pros:

We use Ubidots because it is a comprehensive broker platform that allows us to quickly optimize implementations and is constantly introducing innovations for users. We have been with Ubidots for at least six years and look forward to continuing this partnership for a long time.

Cons:

We were a bit disappointed with the new features, as we are unable to fully benefit from them due to being on a lower-tier plan.

Comments: We have had an excellent experience with Ubidots and we use it for our IoT application development and our customer / end user visualisation products. We have had great technical support from the team at Ubidots and are pleased to recommend them and their platform.

Pros:

Ubidots provides a flexible, rapid development platform for the development and deployment of IoT applications and services. It is easy to use and can be customised for an excellent end user experience. Development of applications can be done very quickly with the extensive set of tools provided in the platform.

Cons:

The platform has such a rich set of features it sometimes makes it hard to keep the scope of the project in check !

The prodcut itself is great and so is the service level and CS.

Cons:

We are having great results with Ubidots, not much we could ask for more, and if we do ask we are also getting.

Pros:

What I like most about Ubidots is its great power of parameterization to adjust to the needs of each client.

Cons:

Due to the constant evolution of Ubidots, sometimes we do not find out quickly about some news or new features.

Mas que una plataforma de IoT

Comments: En general la experiencia es excelente, desde las posibilidades que da la plataforma hasta el soporte del equipo de trabajo que tienen que te acompañan de cerca para poder sacar el mayor provecho y así ir creciendo.

Pros:

El nivel de soporte (velocidad de atención y resolución). La Flexibilidad de la plataforma. El conjunto de prestaciones. El SLA

Cons:

La interrupción de algunos servicios de publicación de datos en algunos clientes críticos debido a proveedores de nube que entiendo ya no usan. Algunos Widgets se asimilan a portales web de prototipo y orientados más al estudiante y eso da la sensación a usuarios empresariales de que no es tan robusto. Aunque se soluciona desarrollando widget propios.

Una plataforma robusta en constante evolución.

Comments: En general ha sido una experiencia satisfactoria, nos ha permitido ofrecer un servicio de telemetría a terceros que de otra manera sería mucho más complicado, ya que administrar un plataforma con estas características no es una tarea sencilla.

Pros:

La simplicidad a la hora de agregar dispositivos, crear y configurar tableros, administrar reglas, usuarios y la cada vez mas potente función de correr scripts personalizados dentro de la plataforma.

Cons:

Mi unica queja es que hubo una época en la que estuvimos encontrando multiples bugs o errores con temas como la zona horaria, la generación de reportes y algunos otros detalles menores que no recuerdo en este momento.

Comments: Se ha convertido en una herramientas clave en la transformación de la compañía y en la toma de decisiones informadas.

Pros:

Nos permite centralizar la información crítica de la compañía, segmentarla por perfiles, crear reportes y alertas automatizadas

Cons:

Es necesario avanzar en la integración de ubidots con herramientas de analítica, modelamiento y predicción

Mi experiencia con ubidots

Comments: en general fue facil implementar un control de ubicacion y de control , pude encontrar muchos ejemplos de otros colegas que lo estaban usando y llevarlo a cabo fue muy directo .

Pros:

Muy fácil de usar , bien documentado y una gran comunidad activa , esto facilita poder emprender un proyecto . Poder usar primero la version gratuita fue fundamental para comenzar a tomar contacto con ubidots.

Cons:

Encontrar ayuda especifica para nuevos dispositivos, para los cuales no hay bibliotecas especificas de comunicación , aunque esta limitación es mas del dispositivo que de ubidots .

Excelente experiencia, un gran partner tecnológico

Comments: Trabajamos juntos por más de 5 años, pudimos pasar desde el prototipo a una solución productiva. Estamos fuertemente agradecidos del apoyo prestado durante todos estos años.

Pros:

Excelentes Dashboards, buena integración con diferentes soluciones. Gestión completa de usuarios y Clientes. Posibilidad de escalar a medida que crece tu negocio. Un up-time de calidad, prácticamente no tuvimos interrupción del servicio.

Cons:

Sistema de cobros por dots. Actualmente la capa mínima no permite branding.

Comments: Es una platafoma muy flexible, bien estructurada, fácil de operar.

Es muy flexible, y permite programar muchas posibles aplicaciones. Los Dashboard son increiblemente buenos.
