Next Generation Firewall

Palo Alto Firewall is one of the Greatest Product I ever worked with.

Comments: This is one of the best and firewall solution, and always in the plate whenever we are selecting the firewall solution for any new setup. It has all the great Network Security features which work really well.

Pros:

I really liked the User interface; it is very easy to understand and work with. Also easy customization of the dashboard, so we can see the critical things once we are on dashboard, such as high availability status, current traffic status, firewall logs etc. Another feature that I liked is the dynamics updates, firewall is always updated with latest security updates. Also, if zero-day threat is detected it is now allowed by default, it goes to Sandbox environment and processed there.

Cons:

Not that I can think of, however as market is growing, Palo Alto should keep on upgrading the product, And also come up with new products such as cloud-based security (Managed Security Vendor). I know they all these products however they do not seem so matured compared to their competitors such as Zscaler.

The Best firewall for security analysis

Pros:

i use it with wildefire license, and for mail filtering. It can control all mail, made filter e do zero days analysis using wildfire. Really the best features as NGFW.

Cons:

i don't like panorama as management, it is i think to complicated

PA hardware NGFW

You get everything that is possible. And they come with quality, stable and easy to use.

Cons:

Too expensive comparing with others brands

Really great Firewall

Pros:

I think they are the best security firewall. they can filter from L4 to L7 network traffic, filtering ip application domain and more. Easy to configure ad implement new rules. They have all network and routing features and you can do really cyber detailed reports

Cons:

I think that only the license price are little bit high and panorama, management software is not so easy to understand

Best Next Generation Firwall

Pros:

Palo Alto is the most sofisticated Next Generation Firewall. It can analyse and filter traffic from level 4 to level 7 iso stack. Malware and ips signature are always up to date. Also palo alto support is really good they always resolved all issued that i have encountered. Reports are easy to do and they are really detaled

Cons:

may be price for license and hardware are little bit hight

i love the way how they can filter everything from simple ip to application domain email and more. Really detail report with a lot of information. Cool vpn features.

Cons:

price i think too hight and panorama management is not so easy

I firewall dei firewall

Pros:

Mi è piaciuto molto l'interfaccia di gestione specialmente in versione 10 in poi. Sbalordito nel vedere come il firewall generi allarmi e blocchi traffico malevole. Ottima la possibilità di aggiungere liste dinamiche esterne es. misp.Facile l'utilizzo tramite cli con comandi molto facili da imparare e molto intuitivi. Molto facile di creare dei custom object in caso di blocchi particolari.

Cons:

Probabilmente il prezzo delle licenze ed il fatto che 3 volte in fase di aggiornamento firmware ho dovuto mandar dietro l'appliance

Firewall indispensabile

Pros:

Il monitoraggio di tutto lo stack OSI è la cosa che ci ha più colpito e che ci porta ad adottarlo come firewall.Siamo in grado di poter filtrare oltre agli ip anche appicazioni, domini e query DNS

Cons:

Il prezzo non è tra i più abbordabili per una piccola azienda e la management (Panorama) non è estremamente user friendly
