Excellent Product, Excellent Support, Excellent Price

5.0 2 years ago

Pros:

Support is number 1 in my opinion, the team behind Huntress are second to none, always available and willing to help and know their stuff. The product is light on machines, has a great dashboard and alerting is wonderful.

Cons:

Would love for it to integrate with Defender for Business instead of just the free Windows Defender.

Huntress EDR - Easy setup to get started

4.0 2 years ago

Pros:

The community/culture of the Huntress team is great. Joining their weekly groups is great education on what is going on in today's world.

Cons:

I feel as if it is playing catchup or adding needed services JUST behind other competitors. I wish there was also a built in script for deployment rather than customized one.

Great MDR product for MSPs

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: It is very well tuned to the MSP model. The Huntress team has built their product to play very nicely with a multi tenant IT management model. Everything can be partitioned granularly, and the integrations/rollout of the product are extremely easy.

Pros:

-The Huntress team reviews and classifies severity of alerts before they get to our team, which reduces our workload. They also include remediation plans and work with us if needed. -The rollout/integrations were very smooth and out clients didn't experience negative issues as a result of the rollout. -The pricing model works very well for the SMB market.

Cons:

It is not as advanced as other software like a SentinelOne or a Crowdstrike, but it can work well in tandem with them.

Alternatives Considered: SentinelOne

Reasons for Switching to Huntress: Ease of use, managed team behind the product, pricing, and integrations/MSP focus.

One of the best Security tools we use

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Has shown its value with protecting customers in real-world events. We use it to help with remediation on customers that were not previously using it, makes cleanup and visibility easy.

Pros:

Huntress is very easy to use. The remediation details are great, and with the new auto remediation its even easier.

Cons:

There is nothing I don't like about Huntress.

Alternatives Considered: Falcon and Carbon Black EDR

Reasons for Switching to Huntress: Less expensive and had a better value proposition to sit on top of any existing AV vendor.

I couldn't do my job without it

5.0 last year

Comments: Outstanding! A+++ I simply couldn't do my job without Huntress. I rely on daily and is almost always opened and in use.

Pros:

Easy, simply to understand and navigate GUI. Highly intuitive and responsive agent with real-time reporting and next level support when you need it most.

Cons:

Lack of merch. The only real problem I have with Huntress is the fact I can't display my support and use of the application in the real world. That's how good it is.

IT Service Provider

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Positive experience overall. Support team has been friendly and service has assisted in remediation and prevention of cyber attacks.

Pros:

Having an extra set of eyes watching over our customer fleet from a security perspective is reassuring. Additional value add for our customers helping us bring security to the forefront of the conversation.

Cons:

Features under continuous development, so waiting for a specific feature to come into fruition requires patience (EDR).

Huntress Labs Response

Thanks for the review and feedback! If we can provide some extra reassurance and help you bring more meaningful security conversations to your clients, we're doing something right. EDR functionality is quickly approaching and we've got a packed roadmap this year to make sure we're delivering value in the places our partners need it most. Stay tuned for more :)

Huntress is in the "so cheap it costs money to not do it" camp.

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: They're great - they constantly give back to the community and try to make the entire channel better.

Pros:

Huntress does what it says on the label and it does it well. They're constantly innovating and attempting to push the envelope while remaining VERY GOOD on their core features. The persistence detection is amazing, and from what I've seen the Managed AV is very good!

Cons:

Not a lot really - they are NOT the only solution you need but they don't bill themselves as that.

Huntress Labs Response

Thank you for the positive feedback! We're trying to do even more in the security community this year, and we'll always stay transparent about where we're strong vs. where we're a good complement to other systems or services. Thanks for being a partner, Jason.

Immediate impact, ongoing ease of mind

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Huntress keeps an eye on all of our computers and immediately notifies if an unusual process is set to run automatically. It has found numerous huge potential security problems, and countless little problems (things like adware and junk browsers).

Pros:

Implementation was easy by deploying the agent via our RMM. It immediately found a few major security issues, the support team even helped me confirm the risk.

Cons:

Initially, there was a problem with how the agents were split into organizations, but this issue has since been resolved.

5.0 3 years ago

Pros:

Deployment and management is a breeze. Client is light weight, non-obtrusive. Detects footholds, malware, etc. that other AV misses.

Cons:

Don't have any cons for the product. It performs as expected and the Huntress team is constantly adding features which is great!

Huntress just works!

5.0 3 years ago

Comments: Great product to allow me to replace an existing solution. Cost was a bit higher but the features were well worth making the change.

Pros:

Moving beyond simple antivirus, Huntress provides best of class ransomware protection. The canaries are placed throughout stored data to detect and counter any attempts to encrypt the files.

Cons:

I had no issues deploying or using the software
